I've heard the Bengals aren't high on Cook because they're worried too many of his big plays involved him outrunning people around the corners, which will be harder to do in the NFL.

I don't like Cook either. They need an every down back and Cook is more of a Gio option, imo.

BTW, why did you mention Kroft and Uzomah as if they are some sort of viable long-term option as receiving TE's in the NFL? They're career back-ups.
No way he's #2 WR from day 1, maybe that's the hope. Best case scenario he's the #2 by the bye week. AJ #1, LaFell #2, Boyd #3. I realize LaFell is just a filler for now, but with so much defense on the board I'm not a fan of that pick.

The TEs were brought up because they're also receiving options. The plan last year was to use Kroft and Eifert a lot in 2-TE sets, but both were injured early. Kroft has the size and skill to be a #1 TE when healthy. Uzomah is likely a career #2 TE.

I love it when clowns like Brasco cry OL like the Bengals were going to reach badly at OL with the 9 pick. So dumb.

I knew by the time I was ten that it was not okay to hit women and definitely never to flat out sock them close fisted in the face. But since it was a "split second impulsive move" he probably should get a pass. He is a good running back after all and we need a running back.
If you think that that kid should be written off based upon YOUR knowledge of him, you are every bit as clueless as I've always suspected

I don't really care what # he is, from day 1, he's going to be someone they can line up on the other side from AJ that the defense is going to have to account for. I'm not in love with the pick, but I do think he could be someone they could use in multiple ways and could be exciting to watch.

Part of me wishes they took Howard at 9. A playmaking TE who can block and work the seam would have given the Bengals a significant edge when employing a two TE set with Eifert. And given them insurance given Eifert's injury history. Personally, I think Kroft is a career backup, but he has his own injury issues.

One thing you have to like about Mike Brown is he gives zero s what clowns like Basco think about him giving players second and third chances.
For what it's worth, Dan Patrick said he'd heard Mixon would go anywhere from 27 thru 41, which, along with everything I've heard locally would make me believe he's their pick if available.

Mixon. I think the OL will be better than people think (not a high bar) and I'm just so tired of watching Hill fail.

Plus, Robinson is a flawed prospect and the guys that are currently there will be given the job this year. I think they'd be better off waiting later in the draft this year or get a better prospect next year if we find out both young guys do in fact suck as bad as we thought.

Fair, but Winston said he'd be #2 from day 1. That's where that comment came from.

I say go all in on offense in rds 2-3 too.

My preference would be Mixon and either Elflein or Pocic.

Agree. Plus Andre Smith is the fallback for tackle if either fail again. Plus it's doubtful a rookie could significantly upgrade that position more than Mixon can upgrade RB. Would love to see them upgrade the center position in 3rd rd, if possible.

According to "sources" Foster fell because of injury concerns and the failed drug test; some teams felt that without the close supervision he had in college, he won't last long in the NFL.
Allen fell because of concerns about his neck.

As for the Bengals 2nd rd pick, whichever player with the most talent and injury problems would be my best guess.
