You'll have the best stadium around and want to settle for a ho hum high school field?

Nice to see lights at the top of the center section. With only the two light towers flanking the suite/press/loge area, until recently, I thought the field would be kind of dim.

They are spending a 100 billion dollars on a stadium and you thought they would under-light it?

Now that they're placing the letters in the end zone, all I can think is "Who are the Chefs?"

And personally someone with long knees, cup holders are the bane of my existence at stadiums like that. Hopefully the aisles are quite large so it's not an issue for most.

Hopefully there are no corners being cut as there were in the somewhat comparable and very expensive Allen TX HS football stadium. I don't know if there are or not, with the NFL behind this; everything should be being done first class. But the Allen stadium was a fiasco, as was the new CFL stadium in Winnipeg Canada. Hopefully all here is being done top notch.

I'm fairly certain the NFL is not going to let anything like that happen. Geesh.

McKinley, for basically all of their history, has been playing in a stadium (and gym) that is like a neutral field. Fawcett had brown wood seats with no significant "branding" because it was home to Timken, McKinley Lincoln, and Lehman. The field was usually only painted up for the Massillon game because it was the last game hosted in the stadium each odd season. After the 96-97 renovation, it was grey seats with little to no branding. Now it'll be blue seats with some HOF branding. Not exactly a titanic shift. McKinley could purchase some McK branded tarps to cover a couple of the upper sections on the south stands, and the stadium will be more McK-centric than it ever has before. Add the subtle signage they have in the past in the end zones and it'll be just like always.
Good post and exactly spot on. Of course Massillon people like Spize are extremely jealous and try to say negative stuff about our superior facilities. But @ the end of the day, McKinley fans will love our new stadium, we own the land it's on, it's right next to our school campus, and it already feels like home!

I'm not sure what the costs are of these sort of things, but perhaps McKinley can purchase seat covers for the upper level (OHSAA could as well for playoffs/championship games for the lower divisional matchups). Maybe they could get the HOF to cover the cost, but I doubt it... though there are possibilities for advertisement.

Yes, there was getting less work to see on the outside of the south stands, but that construction cam helped fight the boredom at work.

Because it's a cool trip and someone else is willing to pay for it.
