I personally don't think money has anything to do with it now. Maybe it did before and he was asking for a high price but I think he might be smart enough to realize he isn't getting a decent contract. (Maybe not smart enough but his agent might be). I'd have to think if his asking price was high he has lowered it and he has pretty much said money wasn't the divide between him and teams.
I think he isn't any good, run first qb who needs a system, and he is a media firestorm/distraction. Some of it is his ability and some of it is the baggage around him. Heck I wouldn't want him as a back up before the kneeling during the anthem protest
As soon as he's signed, you can prove that he wasn't
You've got no more than another one of your d-bag mantras in play here.
My position isn't that his isn't asking for too much, my point is saying he is is stupid without any reasonable evidence. Basically, I'm saying you're being stupid here.
Wouldn't be surprised if he is signed during the first wave of QB injuries.
I don't know. I think some owners might choose to "punt" the season if their Starting QB goes down rather than alienate a fan base. There's very few fan bases that would embrace Kap. Even in SF, the most liberal city with an NFL team, he got his fair share of boos.

I'd look for a guy that feels he needs a few wins to save his job to take a chance on him and the click-circus mics that will follow Kaep.

In reality, would 5-6 wins with Kaep really be that much better than 3-4 without him? Kaep isn't taking any team on a playoff run and why piss off your fans?
BTW, not shocked ESPN totally ignored his tweet. Anything that doesn't fit their SJW narrative is buried.

Maybe so. But just winning a few more post injury is the ONLY reason a flawed QB with Kaep's weaknesses and strengths gets signed, unless it's Carolina or maybe Seattle.
If it meant showing a better record than last year for a coach in a tenuous position, maybe they sign and try him. If the coach is secure maybe he's content to improve draft position with the "broken QB" excuse on board.
Injury of a starter may not be a good shot for Kaep, but it's likely his only one. He's not good enough even with Harbaugh after he compiled a season of film to watch. He's a tweek - he panics. He goes "flight" mode like Weeden went "freeze" mode. The position demands the "fight" reaction out of the "fight, flight, or freeze" set of responses to a pass rush.
Maybe add "fling" or "flip" to better describe Weeden. He had the "freeze" look on his face, but he'd usually do something.........something wrong, but something...
If you exclude the QB's that were paid to be starters, but then bombed[ ex Osweilor] it is around $2mil
Overall, the 33rd highest paid QB, is paid $3.5 mill for a 1 yr deal -Chad Henne, insurance if Bortles bombs again.
Price aside, know the system, help the starter, stay out of the news, don't be a pain in the butt.
That^ could be a trainer, so.....
You forgot the most important qualification. A back-up QB has to have a reasonable expectation of being able to execute >65% (more or less?) of the playbook. Kaep does not meet that one.
That seals it. He's great, and the evil white slavemasters are blackballing him. Great work.
Seriously, why don't you go make a horse happy ?
Good God. I have already stated in this thread I wouldn't want him as my backup and he isn't good enough to even warrant the headache that he would bring.
I think he is an idiotic human being and I certainly won't be giving any sympathy for a man who has made millions of dollars playing a game. I also don't agree with kneeling during the national anthem no matter the reasons. I think it is entirely disrespectful.
He is a run first, system quarterback who wouldn't be a good fit most NFL teams. Along with his shoddy play he isn't worth the headache.
