I know Cuyahoga Heights had a great run last year-any word on how the team will look this year?

How many ML or Coldwater games have you and Hoser been to??? Lots, I see. No one who has watched them would say that, so my guess is: 0. I'd believe little or nothing said about a team by someone who has no insight whatsoever.

Uh you are right, I haven't seen that many MAC teams play, but when I did see it the game was much slower and played in general by much smaller kids with 7 or 8 kids going both ways.

Sounds like the MAC doesn't need a divisional system to win championships.

Wow! 20 kids!?! I just looked on the canton rep site and they had 32 last year with 11 seniors. No freshman this year? Transfers? Side note, are those Applebys related to the Purdue QB?

I've always thought this was a terrible inequity (most years all or most the state champs are privates--even though they are a very small percentage of competing schools). I've given up on this EVER being addressed, I believe it will never be fixed. Look at other states--guess what??--doesn't happen. However--Marion Local and Coldwater don't seem to have a problem beating their eyes out, though...

While those kids are common for 95% of D-6 & D-7 schools, it is not at Marion Local. You are more likely to find the cheerleaders on the team 6" 180lbs. I counted around 23 kids on their roster last year over 220LBs. The have a blue chip linemen who will go big time college pushing 300.

I doubt very many MAC kids could start at the D1 and D3 Catholics. They lack the genetics.

d6 has placed some great people in Division 1 football. Given the population density in Merced County they are highly successful. Marion Local is NOT your typical D6-7 school. I bet the MAC kids would start in the big schools. Saying that shows your complete ignorance of Mercer County.

Except for the hugest of linemen and the fastest of backs (rarities), genetics is mostly a minor factor in the differences between D1 and D7. Most hs football players are made, not born.

Hubbard in trouble

Rumor has it that Hubbard lost its big 3recruits from last year. Any truth to the rumor?

Uh how about some facts instead of opinions? 264 kids will go on to play college football at some level from SW Ohio. 37 of those kids are going to play big time college football. I included the MAC although you could argue about that. 30 of those kids attended a D1 or D2 school. UH 7 of those kids attended D3 thru D7 schools. Uh do the math. Not that hard to see.

Well Hoser, those D1 schools are 5 to 10 times bigger, so 30 D1 players =/< 7 (*5 = 35) D5,6,7 .....

Uh I don't know how you can "make" a kid run a 4.5 forty but if you know I'm sure a lot of coaches would like that info. UH you can increase a kids bench but there are limits and I believe strength is mostly genetic. You certainly cannot "make" a kid 6'6' and 290 lbs. In general, I would say you are totally mistaken.

Just remember if you win a state championship it's because Hartley got bigger balls and moved up a division and didn't stay in D4 to beat you for 3 years in a row
Johnstown should have never been in d4 from the past 5 years

Uh Vampy, sounds like the big MO at Springfield is competing with Wayne for the best players in Montgomery county. Uh should the all-star Wayne team be worried?

Ethan Wolf from Minster will be the starting tight end for Tennessee this year and is one of the top NFL prospects at tight end next year. How can a kid from the MAC start for a SEC school and possibly be drafted by the NFL? Don't they know all MAC players are small and slow. https://t.co/7oYQczhx2k

Calpreps would disagree with you. Calpreps has Marion Local ranked 20th state wide regardless of division this upcoming season and in 2003 had Versailles ranked no. 1 in the state regardless of division.
