Correct and I look for Beachem to be the victor !

Beachem is tough as they come. Hopefully Mason Smith makes it to the semi and we get to see that rematch.

I'd bet pretty good money Mason Smith is there in the semis.... he has been right on the edge of the top 20 national rankings a few times.
He also beat Ryan Thomas at GMVWA last year in the finals....

Mason hit the National Rankings after placing at FLO. Once football started he fell off.

SWOWCA potential highlights:
How does Ward (Moeller) look v Pietro & poss Ryan Moore
Overall depth at 170, I think Smith/Beachem is a semi that could go in a direction that some in SW OH would not expect (why that's a semi is beyond me too)
Solid overall depth at 220 & espec 285.
I guess a few people in Ohio think the seeding is a little bias based on Smith's resume.

Ward/Pietro/Moore will be a great battle. Excited for this one.
With ties to Ohio and KY wrestling, it's easy to see the bias from one side to the other. However with the leaps and bounds made by KY wrestling over the last few years I think there is enough evidence to credibly adjust the seeding criteria. Top 3 should be equal to top 3. I don't suggest all placements be equal, because as KY has gotten much much better, they still lack the depth that Ohio has. Typically after top 3 it can be a crap shoot. Some weight classes are tougher than others just like in any state as well as luck of the draw. 170 is a great example, Mason is a stud, as well as Beachem, but this should be the finals, not Semi's (if it were to happen because we all know anything can happen). Criteria is criteria and it is what it is, and I know we all strive to make these tournaments the best we can, and this is just my old 2 cents worth. Semi's for this class on both sides of the bracket will be a show for sure.
There is a big difference in seeding at Coaches and GMVWA, and the depth is apparent at GMVWA because they match them placement for placement. But typically I would say top 3 are top 3 material. I voiced my opinion to the SWOWCA GOD about this last year and this year. However since I am out of coaching, I'm just another nagger to the ole' Pres of SWOWCA

I feel like the brackets are riddled with unseeded landmines. Not that they will win it all per se but def capable of knocking off many of the seeded wrestlers. That's what makes this so fun.

Last second thoughts about prelime seeding:
@220 didn't see Trevor Hankins, Moeller?
@285 Padilla, Wayne and Charette, Centerville both SQ's seeded 5 & 6 behind Heyob, St. X?
@152 Weichers, Centerville & Weathersby, Elder both SA's at 6 & 8?
I know after weigh ins, prelim seeding will not be the same but was wondering since @220 Cochran, Springfield is 1 and McCloud, Elder 2.
This is going to be the Ironman of the D1 southwest district; great weekend of wrestling.

Good call. Lipps tried a double-over throw and got stuck.

With the SikorSoft system, what does it mean on the live bout board when a wrestler's rectangle is red or yellow? Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty accurate, but I'd go with Huff at 6. Besides that I agree
