They rebounded much better in the 2nd half, but turnovers killed them. I think they had 8-9 turnovers in the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half. They had their chances. They will only get better, not sure what a reasonable expectation is for this season. At this point, I'd say 2nd weekend of the tournament would be great.

Can't argue that. Great college player, but a pretty unlikeable person.

I potentially see Richards, Diallo, and Knox leaving. All at this moment have a first round grade.

Pretty clear he wants to develop guys like DeLaurier, O'Connell, and Goldwire who will be around 3-4 yrs. Smart. No matter how many great One and Dones he pulls in, every championship team needs some kind of leadership from their upperclassmen. The only exception to that rule is the last UK team that won it all with Anthony Davis.

Who gives a damn about 13 straight B12 titles when you can't get to the FF with loaded teams?
Overrated? I have a hard time calling somebody overrated when they've won their conference (regular season and/or tournament) 18 of the last 20 years. He's one of the best long-term program coaches in the country. It's not like the Big 12 is a chump league either when you have to go on the road to places like Iowa State and West Virginia.

It seems like he disappoints often in the tournament, but they've been to the Elite 8 or further 7 times in the last 14 years. Even for having a ton of talent that's pretty solid given the crapshoot nature of a single elimination tournament where you have short prep time for unfamiliar opponents.

That UK team had terrific senior leadership from Darius Miller. They also had a couple really good sophomores who had a year experience in Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb.

WV just joined a few yrs ago. Aside from that, the B12 is nothing. Occasionally, OK has a good team, but aside from them? Nothing. Plus, to get the the elite 8 7/14 yrs and win one title? Seems like a choke artist to me. When's the last time they weren't knocked out by a lower seed? They pull this crap every year and people just ignore it bc if how good they are in the Reg Season.

I think 13-14 straight Big 12 championships speaks more about the league than it does Bill Self and Kansas. It's like the AFC East in the NFL. Yes, New England is good as is Kansas, but no other team can put it together to knock them off at least 1 year?

Unfortunately, college basktball has turned into a giant AAU field. The best high schoolers in the country ban together to go to Kansas/ Kentucky/ Duke / North Carolina. Their ability to get their freshmen to play together largely is the difference between them winning the NCAA tournament. Most of the other programs have to rely on getting 2-3 star talent, and coaching them up so when they are juniors or seniors, they have a chance to win. Teams like Wisconsin, Villanova and South Carolina have had recent success having older teams that can sometimes play together and play above the one and done Kentucky programs.

Are you going to try and say Villanova, South Carolina, and Wisconsin only get 2-3 star talent? I remember you tried to say that about South Carolina last year and Google made you Poole dumb yet again

Nova has a pretty highly ranked Frosh this year. It's a dumb system, but in order to win, you need top shelf, one and done talent. The last 2 years, the Frosh talent pool has been a little down, which lets veteran laden teams like Scar, or Nova advance. Even UNC had a lot of upperclassmen leading their team.
