Not really. I merely pointed out that religion has been brought into similar conversations in the recent past.

Years ago, Coach Tony Napolet required all players to shave their heads as a commitment to the team. (my brother in laws hair was straight until that fateful day! LOL) Didn't matter what race you were. If you wanted to play ball, you had to make that personal commitment to your team. If you wanted to be a pretty boy, join the drama club. If you want to play football, you shaved your head, at practice, like the rest of the TEAM. That's where this is all coming from. Commitment. Not racial. Not religious. TEAM. And as the old cliché goes, there is no "I" in team. Coach wants to win. He's not going to make a rule that limits his talent pool unless he sees a greater good.

The difference in the Coach Napolet team and the Coach Annarella team is the 1st example EVERYBODY has to do it. In the 2nd (presumably) only certain people are targeted.

IMO if it's about long hair- no problem.
If its about dreads-will be a problem, especially if some white kids have longer hair
