Correct. Not sure why I put Harvest. Both start with 'H' I guess.

Toledo
Iowa State

Also had looks from the likes of Notre Dame, OSU, WV and Purdue. Announced he was focusing on basketball only back in March and then announced his transfer a little less than a month after that.

Marlington (Alliance) I’m thinking the Dukes finish anywhere between 8-2/10-0...I think the Poland game week 1 will be a big game..I can see 1 or maybe 2 playoff wins before running into Canfield or ST V..all in all should be a solid season at Marlington with 9 starters returning on offense and 7 on defense

2018 record prediction with explanation

Columbia Raiders 8-2. Hungry for a return to the playoffs and out for revenge on a few teams that snuck up on us last year.

Clearview Clippers 9-1 (close week 1 loss to Amherst)

Clippers went 9-1 last year with a young team that had 5 sophomores on the field in a playoff game (it showed) They return 16 starters, 2 third team all Ohioans, 5 all district. 2,026 rushing yards return on offense along with 27 touchdowns. 307 tackles, 12 sacks and 18 interceptions return on defense

St. Edward 15-0 state champs. The entire existence of the school depends on the trophy.
If this doesn't happen, a frustrated and heartbroken EagleFan will buy the school and turn it into the largest tavern in the world ( or, at least,Lakewood).

Relax. Simple question about a big game. Also it was an appropriate question in response to Eagle expressing 15-0 record.

Oh no doubt that the Clippers will be tough. I know a few guys who think this may be Clearviews best team in 20 years.

I agree if they get past Poland I think there's a chance Marlington could possibly run the table. But one never knows.

Hoban vs Ignatius: Toss-up. Winner wins by 7-10 points. (just an early prediction).

Bellefontaine
9-1 or 10-0
I would say the Wapakoneta game is the game I can see the chiefs losing. A lot of guys will be getting they’re first varsity start. they still have a lot of speed on defense and should have another good oline. But there record could take a turn for the worst if the new Qb can’t produce. He doesn’t have to be great but he does have to be affective in the run game to open up the field for the running backs.

On paper this is their deepest team. This years senior class is a special group and some guys that decided not to play are back playing again, which is why they improved dramatically last year. Their qb was a big statue last year and I hear they fixed that problem. This should also be one of Columbia’s better teams. Any time you have a D1 guy out there like Coleman along with Jason Ward you have a chance to beat anyone. Hoping the new Lorain County conference is competitive.

With Coleman back, they could definitely meet the 8-2 and a trip to the playoffs. It was good to see Kirtland on the schedule. Even in a loss, it's good for the players to get an idea of what it takes to make a deep playoff run. The PAC was too one and done, and Columbia seems to be the only team that really has been aggressive with non-league schedules. I've always been a fan of Coach Ward and the Raiders program.

Sounds like good times at Tom Hoch Field again, but I'm not sure that Amherst game will be close. The Comets are a legit D2 playoff team in 2018.

Fremont Ross. The Little Giants finished 5-5 last year, should have been 8-2. I think Ross finishes at 8-2 this year. Losses to Whitmer and Central Catholic.

Maybe a “close game” is wishful thinking. Last years game was even until 4 minutes before halftime and then bad things happened. Good to see Amherst back. Been a long time.

Lorain county football should have one of their better years. Avon and Lorain above everyone else as final 4 contenders and 4-5 other teams that might be in the playoff mix.

Don’t forget the Firelands. Not sure if last years squad was senior dominated but I saw them twice and they were solid.

McKinley this team has the ability to run the table.... first all McK team no more Timken 4th year for the system, have unreal team speed going from a 4-3 to a odd stack defense with the foreseeable future with up coming personal good size in the 7th an 8th grade , very good season last years freshmen an JV who played a lot of freshmen should be an exciting season, I really like this coach, didn't win 3 out of 4 state title games at YU for nothing winning 3 in a row

Nice pick Brian. 2-8 gets to 8-2 after giving up 43.6 a game and with coaching I can quote you from here to tomorrow, are the worst!

No explanation needed - Beverly's got them on his back. Genius!

This team is a loaded with experienced players on both sides of the ball and they have enough talented younger players to fill in the few holes that remain. Rumor has it the crusaders have a transfer qb coming in so that should create some competition for the starting position. This team is filled with dudes.
was hearing a princeton kid was transfering there. Whos the qb?
