Your schools longest League and or overall winning streak at any point

Centerville had a 53 league game winning streak. It started with the 8th game of 1975 through 8th game of the 1981 season.

Centerville's longest winning streak including all games played, out of conference, conference and playoffs is 29. It started with the 3rd game of the 1982 season through the State Semi-Finals or 12th game of the 1984 season.

Regular season:
Struthers was 23-0-1 from the end of '66 to the beginning of '69.
Only blemish was a 6-6 tie with Ursuline to end the '68 season.

Glanville has to have to league record and it'll be a while until someone threatens them, let alone beat them.

Canton CC

Longest overall win streak: A measly 15 wins in a row from week 3 of 2000 until week 3 of 2001 (Lost to Perry in week 2 of 2000 and then won 13 straight to take the DIII state crown, won the 1st 2 games of 2001 before losing to Dover).

Longest conference win streak: 3 games, last 3 games of the 1975 Hall of Fame Conference schedule. Never won 3 in a row during the 5 years of Inter-County Conference play ('79-'83. It was only a 4-team league.) and haven't been in a league for football since.

Fremont Ross went 29-0-1 from 1955 to 1957. The Little Giants went 10-0 in 1955 and 1956. They won the first nine games of the 1957 season for what is still a school record 29 game win streak. In week 10 of the '57 season the Little Giants were tied by Toledo Scott 13-13 to end the streak.

I would think that Cleveland Glenville does indeed have the State record for most consecutive games won in League play, and I am wondering what number their streak is up to now since they dodged that forfeit bullet for 2 games last year.

I know they are well over 100 straight wins in league by now.

Marion Pleasant had a 44 game undefeated streak 1969-1973. Included in that streak was an undefeated 1971 season when they were the Class "A" AP poll champions and an 11-0 season in 1972 when they won the first ever Class "A" play-off championship. Many of that same group then went 26-0 in basketball to win the 1973 Class "A" basketball title.

Trotwood won the GWOC North for 7 straight seasons or years and either made the state finals or state semi-final each of those years.
Many think that's the reason why they were kicked out of the north division into a weaker division where they can start another division streak but no playoff points.

Jefferson, yes Jefferson!!!! also had a 45 game win streak in the mid to late 70's!

From 1996-1998
Germantown Valley View won (including non conf and Playoff games)
39 games in a row 1st game in 1996 - Regional Finals in 1998 (remember they only had 4 playoff games back then)

VV went 14-0 and won the state championship in 1994 but lost in 1995 so if they wouldn’t have slipped up in 95 the streak would have been longest probably in the state of Ohio

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I don't know the number but I'd have to assume Moeller had a rather lengthy conference game winning streak back with Faust.

From 1959 to 1964 Niles was *unbeaten* in 48 straight. Massillon's 10-0-0 1964 AP Poll Champions ended that streak (and defended their own State Record [at the time] 52 game unbeaten streak) in a BIG game at the Akron Rubber Bowl, 14-8.

Niles had at least 4 ties during that streak but the 1961 team was perfect, 10-0 or 11-0 (eleven games were allowed that season.) So any long *winning* streak was probably from 1960 to 1962 but I don't know when in those other 2 seasons the ties occurred.

Tony Mason was the HC for all the games up to the end of 1963 when he left for Michigan. He left with the streak at 47 straight.

Disclaimer: I am not a Niles poster, but I used to have the old AAC book/magazine that was sold at AAC games circa 1970. It detailed all the above info. Wish I still had it, it got misplaced in a move I made years ago.
