2017 Canton McKinley Bulldogs Football Season

Starting a new McKinley season thread. Lets Go Pups! Bulldogs look stronger this year as a team. Coach Reardon is in his third year in charge and the kids know what to expect.

It would appear you know more about the transfer than we do. I'm am pretty sure he won't be adopted by our coach, though. That's a Massillon thing. This certainly doesn't fit your narrative of kids leaving McKinley, does it? He would be the third to move in these last 12 months.

Although I LOVED Fawcett, I drove by the new stadium and must admit it's absolutely gorgeous.

That being said, nothing like PBTS, Fawcett and my Mollenkopf to watch a HS game in NE Ohio. I hope the new McKinley home will retain that atmosphere a little.

McKinley's campus is to be incorporated into the HOF Villiage and our school will remain in it's current 17th St. location...forever!

The future of the 17 th street location

Post by fleadog101 Sat Jul 09, 2016 11:08 am

Seems like the Pro Football Hall of Fame it making a commitment to keeping the current 17 th street location of McKinley Sr. Hs.

As time goes by they want to incorporate as much of the school and make it apart of the village the newest is making them a partner with the Canton Charge and the new 6,000 seat arena thus giving Canton City Schools an option to do what or redevelop the Field house for the main McKinley campus

Dan Gilbert owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Canton Charge is opening this up to exclusive use to Canton McKinley as its home floor. He is contributing 55 to 65 % of the funding for part of this portion of the project. However this also gives the OHSAA another site to use for the tournament if the Field house is not redeveloped.

Like it or not the Pro Football Hall of Fame is committed to having Canton City Schools as its long term partner in the new Hall of Fame Village no other Stark County school has this advantage or exclusively being appart of this project. There's other opportunities that will be included in the Village for Canton City Schools as it develops in time.

Ah yes,but no more schools to consolidate.in 15 to 20 years that leaves McKinley in D3 possibly. And Massillon will still hold the series lead.I hope.We Tiger fans are very proud that we've whipped those dawgs the majority of the time.

Oh the JEALOUSY! You should be happy you can play in a world-class stadium every two years! Your post is fake news btw. McKinley is projected to be D1 ...forever. On the other hand, Massillon could be D4 trying to compete with Coldwater and not being able to...

Yes it's true that some Tiger fans are jealous.that whole facility is going to pretty amazing. Paul Brown Tiger stadium is still one of the finest stadiums in the country and it is home exclusively to the Tigers.the Bulldogs can not say that. The Massillon Tigers,The most successful football program in Ohio that also has a double digit series lead against McKinley.24 state and 9 national titles.every one of those titles marched straight through McKinley....ON THE FIELD !

We still are and have been the dominant power for over 72 years now. That's why no world wars in that time. But this isn't about politics, this is about football. Let's leave politics for politicians.

We care more about winning state titles than beating you. and in the last 40 years, we've been to six finals to your three, and won 3 while you haven't had a championship in nearly 50, and none in the playoff era. Most of your series advantage came from the 1950's (remember them? lol.) and the 1930's ( I know you saw those lol).

Let's keep this thread about McKinley. You have your own thread.

We? Who's the we, Bob, got a mouse in your pocket? Most of the people I know from Canton still hold a win over the Tigers in the highest regard. You can lie through your teeth about it forever, I remember you burying your head in the sand over losing to the Tigers for over 6 mos. Is that going to happen again this year when they beat your team's collective azz? I'm betting it will. Why don't you cop to where the real jealousy lies, in the rivalry record, which your team is running a losing battle. You can disregard any titles you want, the record books won't and neither will OHSAA, so the number is 24, which your team will never achieve, period. Carry on windbag.

21-19 and 69-53.that's the bottom line.I guess we should let the dawgs enjoy their shiny new toy.they sure have nothing to Bragg about concerning the Tigers.

Can you believe the dawgs have been humiliated by Massillon for over 84 years? Wow! Carry on puppies.

You Massillon trolls need to find a bridge on a D2 thread to stand under, otherwise the moderators might have to remove you.

America spends more on defense than the next 26 nations combined, so I'm pretty sure we'll remain the world's #1 for a very long time to come.

I'm not sure who paid for it, but things seem to be really looking up in Canton these days. The support from the HOF for McKinley and Canton City Schools athletics is impressive, and only continues to grow. McKinley now has the nation's top high school athletics complex and it will only get better.

Well, I'm hoping I can live with results, because if they killed me, I would have been dead after last year's Glenoak game. One of the worst efforts in memory...

I'm a Massillon fan, grew up there, went to school there. That said, I've said many times that McKinley is my next favorite OH H.S. football program, and many Massillon fans have berated me for it. I just like to stir the pot with McK fans, all meant to take with a grain of salt. Best of luck to the Bulldogs, I just like pulling your chain, big dog Bob, all in fun.

Go Tigers, Go Dawgs, may 2017 be very prosperous for both.

For McKinley season ticket holders the cost is $70 per season or $10 a game.
Wow! Can't beat this for a $70 season ticket, can you?

How can an out of towner get season tickets? I'd be doing good to make it to three games, but I'd like to show my support.

Lets hope McKinley's defense learns the fine art of the blitz. Sitting in the middle of predictability will get the Dogs' defense get picked apart by passing teams (again).
