To me that’s a dig at Lebron.
I’ll simply ask this question, if Durant was on Cleveland without Lebron would they have made the Finals this year ?

Durant has to be happier there. If he got the ball in OKC, he knew he might not get it back from Russ if he passed it.

Might have been more of a shot at Russ.

Tough to think of an athlete who had a bigger fall in likability over the last 2 years than Durant.

Durant isn’t even the best player on his own team

He is by far the best player on that team. Thompson is the only other player who is better then average on both sides of the ball.

Not sure of the controversy here. What he said makes perfect sense.
In fact plenty of Cavs fans use that logic on Kevin Love when he was at Minnesota. It's the go to for some of them who think he sucks in Cleveland.
Same was said about Hood after coming to Cleveland. He looked pretty good on another team without Lebron.

Green is pretty bad on defense and offense I guess. They sure have done well for only two players above average on both sides of the ball

If true what does that say about Cleveland and LeBron? They get swept by a team with only two players who are above average on both sides of the ball

Sure he is.
Who do you have Curry? I like Curry but I know he isn't better than Durant.

Overall yes. He isn't to the point of being hated, but he was a very likable guy in OKC. LeBron certainly had a likability drop when he went to Miami, especially in NEO. Tiger had the fall when his scandal came out but he's back in everyone's good graces it seems.

I think Durant tries way too hard to be the bad guy. You can tell it isn't a natural thing for him so it comes off even worse because he's trying so hard.

They led the NBA in team defense. There are more than a couple of above average defenders on that team. Curry is a sieve, but everyone else is at least reasonable.

That is a shot at LeBron which is surprising that he is about the only one on that team that LeBron likes. If you switched Durant with LeBron then the Cavs would probably still win the East and get swepted by the Warriors, any other Warrior and they don't win the East. The warriors have 4 All Stars that start, a big man that won't do anything stupid and lose a game for you and will probably shoot 80% from the field but only taking 5-8 shots and probably two of the best 6-7 man coming off the bench. Durant can say what he wants he's a coward for going to that team.

Was LeBron a coward for going to Miami to join Wade and Bosch?

Two different situations that really aren't similar other than both players left the team that drafted them and later won titles.

The better comparison would be if Lebron had left for Boston to join up with Garnett/Pierce/Allen/Rondo in 2010.

Yes, Durant is definitely the best player on Golden State. Curry is very close second IMO, and a decent off-ball defender to boot. Klay & Draymond are both also well above average on both sides of the ball. Silly statement.

Miami was a fringe playoff team the year before. Golden State set an all-time record for wins. Dumb comparison

Thompson is Klay.
Draymond is definitely not a well above average offensive player, he has only avg 9.3 ppg in his career.

True, it is worse because the Cavs team he left was no where near as good as OKC, and the Boston big 3 wasn't on the level of Golden State's at that point in their careers.

He think he has averaged 9.3 ppg for his career because he couldn't score more, or because he didn't need to score more?

Watch the playoffs? ... teams were daring him to shoot ... and for the most part he didnít ... the vast majority of his points came close to the basket ... Green is on the perfect team for him ... they really donít need his scoring ... he is valuable for his defense, passing & rebounding ... if he was on a poor team his short comings would be more evident... much like Tristan Thompson.

Yes he was. None of these Cleveland homers will admit that he was but if Durant's move was cowardly or a bi$ch move then so was LeBron's. Doesn't matter how different the situations were/are, they both left their original teams to go play with other stars/champions in an effort to chase and win championships.
