Heard talk last season, that the ticket was up to 15 bucks a pop?
If true, how was attendance?

Pretty sure tickets were 8 or 9 dollars. It was also a multiple week event held at different schools. Not a one day, one site event.

Scheduling is tricky since that early signing period for college throws things off

They changed the dates of that dead period shortly after the Showdown canceled their UC games. Other states had similar issues such as Kentucky and Michigan.

Thanks for the info. I thought that seemed steep especially when there was some single games, that was attached to the event.

Mike Dyer from WCPO has tweeted a few times that the release for the Showdown would be in mid-June. So should hear something over the next couple weeks.

Don't think any games can be at Nippert

This was already resolved last year. NCAA changed the blackout dates for using college venues AFTER the Crossdown Showdown had already rescheduled their games away from Nippert. Games in Kentucky and Michigan had no problem playing games in August at D1 venues.

It's getting late in the game so I'd think we'd hear soon

In the past it was usually early May we'd see the whole schedule. Bring back the four game one day event and get rid of these "slightly higher priced single games at home team venues just because the Skyline Chilli banner is hung up by the ticket booth" games they've reverted to.

I liked the 2 games at Princeton on a Thursday
And 4 or 5 games at Paul Brown or U.C.

WCPO's Mike Dyer posted this on Facebook yesterday:
Quote:
Plans are still being coordinated for when the 21st annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown schedule will be announced. At the earliest, it could be the week of June 25. No other update at this time.
