No sarcasm at all. Pitch counts are weak. We had a 13 year old throw 105 on a Saturday and then use his brothers uniform and throw 113 Sunday, he is fine. He is a premier high school designated hitters in the area now.

Guarantee the science research was done by a parent of a kid who wasnt good enough to be in the rotation. This bogus research has hurt the proper development of these athletes.

I couldn't agree more, his kid definitely got cut from the summer squad. As far as pitch counts go, really why does that matter? We encourage kids to take a lot of steps during the day to be active, should I worry that they will need a hip replacement sooner? So freaking stupid, rusty anchor i love how you manipulate the system.

Comparing steps through the day to pitches in a baseball game? This has to be a joke.

He actually makes some really good points Peter. When I was first fudging the numbers I figured what I was doing was wrong and there was a slight chance it would hurt the kid but it was a regional summer tournament. And lets be honest these parents know the risks when they sign their kid up and pay for a prolific Summer team. But like Team All In stated, we encourage kids to be more active when in turn it is breaking down their bodies.

No joke here. When a kid walks many muscles and other connective tissues involved. When we have kids throw 200 plus pitches in one day that’s a problem? But 15,000 steps is ok? Seems to me the pitching is the least of our concerns.

I don't get your point? Both are compound movements but walking is way more load bearing. The arm thing is bogus, let them throw a crap ton of pitches. Why should I hold him back at the youth level so some d bag straight brim wearing baseball coach can get the credit when he's drafted?

Finally some nice weather and looks like some games will be played this week. Coaches make sure you are using pencils when doing pitch counts. You never know when you will need to make an audible...

And that is all that really matters. Did they need to get the kid life-flighted from the field? I am sure the kids was able to go home and play Fornite all night long.

adhering to pitch counts is so participation award driven. Why let that sorry kid throw? Let my son or his buddy eat up all the innings and put that booger eater out in right field where he belongs

Sad thing I that in the 5th inning between pitches he started to stretch, flex and move his arm around and looking into the dugout.

When warming upmfor the 6th he def was struggling with his arm in how he was acting and lookijg tomthe dugout

Team did you forget the password to your first account? Is that why you created RustyTrombone? You don't need to use both accounts to be dou$hey. This one is more than adequate.

He needs to eat more bananas and maybe throw some electrolytes into his diet. Kid will be fine.
