Heard the SWBL (or at least part of it) is breaking up. Any truth to that?

There is a lot of discussion about this in the football forums. Just click on anything related to CCC or SWBL league changes. A brief summary would be that Dixie, Preble Shawnee, Milton Union and Northridge could all be leaving.

The tournament is going to be interesting for Madison. Not sure the last time they made it out of the first game. They have a bunch of talent, and have the potential to win some tournament games. In my opinion they have the best roster in the Buckeye, however Northridge and Waynesville would argue. Interesting to lose by 20 on a night where you can win the league championship outright? From the outside, seems like they may have problems to resolve.

Watching coach is always a treat.

Nothing against Whisman, I think he is great. In my opinion Hines was the best player on the court.

Arlinghaus and Lisath have done a great coaching job this year. In my opinion Northridge and Waynesville does not have the depth Madison has.

After watching the Waynesville game there is no question that Hones is better. It really is a shame that Levi was never taught to keep the ball high when he was passed the ball down low, getting rebounds or the guards insisted on throwing the ball low to him when he was in the post. Waynesville wanted it more on both ends of the court.

i beg to differ. I think northridge has more depth coming off bench. Their sixth man could easily be a starter for any other team in the league maybe besides madison. The big guy that played jv most of the year is now starting. There are three other bench players that were once starters towards the beginning of the year. Northridge has almost 100 more steals on the year than any other team in the league and conference. I do agree that madison has more depth than waynesville. Im still flabbergasted that waynesville beat madison that badly. The d3 tourney is pretty weak this year so i see madison winning a few games. Bummed northridge moved up to d2 because i think they wouldve done extremely well in the d3 tourney this year.

Madison has 2 very easy games to start the tournament. They went into the Purcell Marian bracket that everyone was avoiding, which helped them get easier earlier games. Their 3rd game will be against National Trail, which is a team that they went 3 OT's with about a week in a half ago. If they beat Trail, that will be the end of it. They will have no chance against Purcell Marian.

Carlisle lost today to Anna by 33. Indians finish up 5-18. I hope for the boys sake there are changes coming in the future.

Badin used a 10 man attack to wear down oakwood. Rams score 25 in q4 to overcome a deficit and win 65-55. Rubin was outstanding for the jacks.

Northridges twon hines has been pretty impressive in the tourney so far. Averaging 26 ppg, 7.5 rpg, and 5 spg. Hes doing it on both ends while knocking down his free throws. I think northridge could be a cinderella team this postseason. Until they meet trotwood that is lol. Which wouldnt be till regional finals if northridge can beat ben logan, and the winner of the cincy teams. After that they have the columbus sectional winner in regional semis. Gonna be a good game friday

I like Northridge to get to the district finals, but they'll have a brutal matchup against the winner of Taft and Hughes.

I agree. But Benjamin Logan will still be a tough win Friday. Northridge defense hasBeen great the past few games. Thatís what has won the games for them.

Smith (Madison) will get out coached again this Saturday. It will come down to defense: Trail will play tough D and Madison will just play D.

You may be just talking about the small school division, but you can't forget Brookville. They have a Sectional Finals matchup on Saturday against Versailles, and I believe Brookville has a good chance to win that game. If they do win they will play the winner of Reading/Georgetown which I believe is another winnable game for them in the District Finals.

i didnt see them on the brackets. But thats good as well. The swbl is usually a quick out in the tourney on most occasions. I like seeing both sides be competitive in the tourney.

Looking at the sectional final match ups. I think Brookville and Madison have a very good chance of advancing to the District Finals. I think both teams will likely win. I don't know much about Benjamin Logan, but I would think that Northridge also has a pretty good shot of advancing to the District Finals. I think Waynesville is in for a rough match up with Stivers. I would say they have a chance, but I don't think it's a very good chance of advancing. Preble Shawnee is in deep trouble. Part of the reason they won 2 games is because no one wanted to go into that bracket and have to play Anna. It's great the won 2 games but their season will end tomorrow when they play Anna.

I’ve seen Northridge play many times this year and this game was by far their most complete and dominant game. Hines had a lot of help which usually isn’t the case. Off the district finals

Seems like your prediction was correct. I wasn't at the game, I heard it was 32-30 with 3:30 something left. Final 52-38.

Congrats to Northridge as they seem to be playing their best basketball in the tournament. They have had an impressive run, and hopefully they can win a couple more.

They are now the loan SWBL team left as it was a bad weekend for the SWBL teams. I'm not surprised by Preble Shawnee and Waynesville losing as they were definitely underdogs. Brookville also played a tough Versailles team, but I thought Brookville would actually win that game. Madison is the team that surprised me the most. I don't know much about the game but I was just surprised by the outcome.

Game was tied 36-36 at the end of the third. The wheels fell off in the 4th quarter.
