Vassalotti is a very solid coach. I just donít know if McK is the right job for him, though.

Vass would be perfect there in my opinion. Another good one would be Bernard Ross

Sort of lite

I'm sort of surprised at this list, seems sort of lite in regards to depth and quality. Maybe, I'm stuck in another era where the McKinley job was one of the top positions in the state. I guess you never know where a super head coach will come from, so perhaps I'm being too judgmental of the list.

Butch Goncharoff - this a name. The man responsible for ending DeLasalle (Ca) 151 game winning streak. Ran a great program out west.

School is not what it used to be.

Needs a lot of support in the classroom and community.

I think it's Bernard Russ not Ross, All I know dude is nonsense type of guy was DC @ St. Ed's when they went 15-0 and won the State Championship and went to Nordonia as DC they went 14-1 but loss in Championship game now he's at Euclid and that program is on the come up. And he played in the NFL for like 5 or 6 years. So McKinley have chance to hire a guy that would be about these kids and establish a toughness this program needs and not a coach who's looking for a money grab or to put a big notch on their resume or a coach that believe just because they are from Canton they think that give them the right to be the HC at McK. Because half this list of candidates can't even relate to the things most of these McK players live though on a everyday basis. So I hope the decision makers think more about the kids and not just winning football games.

Vass is an excellent coach. I just wonder if somewhere like Copley might be more appealing to him? For all I know, however, the Copley job has been filled. Haven't paid attention to it.

According to the AD at McKinley, as of last night, he turned the job down. Reason as stated he didnt want to come to a district where he doesn't know who his boss is. They are still trying but we shall see

So they haven't held interviews yet, but they've already offered it to some random from Dunbar. Oooohkay, hotshot.

I'm embarrassed that I didn't even know Linden-McKinley was still open.

I remember them so vividly for Basketball back in the 70's.

If they hire from within that's going to be kind of weird for the person that gets the job knowing it was 3 or 4 other guys that wanted the job and now they want to stay on staff. I think that my lead to some back stabbing the new guy better be very careful who he retain.
