At this point who would want this job?

Intrigued to see the applicants though.

Anyone read that guy who runs the cantonmckinley.com - Cooper? He just wrote an incredible piece about who he wants to be the next football coach at McKinley Let me paraphrase. 'We must hire Grimsely because he's my friend and I like him.' Ah, to see the intelligence of the average Canton football fan. They always were stupid and hired a lot of stiffs but it seems they are getting more stupid as the years roll by. With fans like these you don't need enemies. Get ready for a stiff like Miller, Robinson, Brideweiser, or the Spider as your next head coach and I see the final shovel of dirt put on this once great football program.

You're applying aren't you? I mean you like to pretend you're some kind of genius, well-versed in McKinley football, but you don't know much of anything but negativity. You're the typical moron that knows who should be starting, which plays to run, who "deserves" this or that...but when push comes to shove you don't step up and be a leader, you just choose to tear down people like Cooper and Grimsley who actually put time effort and plenty of money into the program. You do what? Complain and moan on Yappi? I'll always give people that put forth the effort the benefit of the doubt. Either put up of shut up. What have you done lately to help the program out?

Cooper has a twitter account that he links to his facebook account for things he writes on facebook. That's where you will find it. When you get to his twitter page scroll down to Jan 28th date and look for the words "another visit post".

Mike Cooper doesn't run cantonmckinley.com.

That said, please stick to the topic of the thread...McKinley coach applicants.

The passing of Mr Chris Smith changed things on a downward trend more than people realize! AA was not ready to do the things he decided to do...I wish and pray that things turn for the better in Canton! I loved my time there and will always be a Pup! Leadership and Character first, then Championships will follow! There are good people there that will do the right thing! Go Pups!

It seems to be in style right now to put down anything about McK football. Not sure why but I have some good ideas.

I hope McK makes the best choice for the kids and the program. Talent, tradition and new facilities on the way still make this a great opportunity for the right man.

Not even close to paraphrasing what was written. It read to me like a heartfelt recommendation. If you donít agree with him thatís fine. But your response to his letter is way off.

Wow. It would be nice if you had the same humanitarian respect for the kids of Massillon. Just wow.

Thanks for your continued support, coach. And I totally agree about the tragic passing of Chris Smith. He was a brilliant leader for the district and irreplaceable.

This pick needs to be quality. There's no sentiment in business. Looking forward to the list so we have actual candidates to anaylise.

Always keep the faith!

That doesn't mean he is qualified to hire a football coach.

He doesn't have to be qualified because he wasn't attempting to hire the coach...he wrote an unsolicited "letter of recommendation" and posted it on social media. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's quite similar to what people on Yappi do every time there's an opening.
