Cris Carter was on Cowheard's show today, said that what he knows...he'd be shocked if Elliott is not suspended.

Ezekiel Elliott reportedly suspended six games by NFL

Quote:
The NFL has suspended Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games for violating its personal conduct policy, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday afternoon. Elliott and the Cowboys now have three business days to file an appeal, and a hearing on that appeal must be held within 10 days of the notice of appeal. The hearing would be heard either by Commissioner Roger Goodell or a league official designated by Goodell.

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Well that's just excessive especially when it seems he didn't do anything other than pulling the girl's top down.

Photos and forensic evidence of the physical damage supported the original claims by the victim.
The victim's statement was only one part of the evidence. - paraphrasing from the Washington Post

"The NFL had been investigating Elliott for more than a year, with league officials looking into an “accumulation of behaviors” involving Elliott. Elliott’s ex-girlfriend accused him of five incidents of domestic violence over a six-day period in July 2016, though prosecutors in Columbus, Ohio, declined to press charges because of “conflicting and inconsistent information” from witnesses. The woman, Tiffany Thompson, also had accused Elliott of pushing her against a wall during a February 2016 incident in Florida. No charges were brought in that case, as well."

Commissioner took the 7 incidents as a pattern [5 domestic abuse, 1 speeding ticket, & the bar incident] he also said another incident would result in banishment

No; Columbus police/prosecutor declined to press charges, heavier burden to convict in court, the NFL does not have to meet that. Commish did not adjudicate, that was done by a committee, the Commish will hear the appeal.

I thought one of her friends had text messages proving she was lying about the assault? Is this a different girl?

Ezekiel needs to mature fast or his ride in the NFL will be short. RBs don't have a long shelf-life. Getting kicked out of the league for much longer could end his career.

No, same girl. It was one of the 5 incidents; she tried to get her friend to lie that Ezekiel pulled her from a car; that witness said the he never saw him get within 7 feet of her

The NFL used these incidents:
INCIDENT #1
On July 17, the NFL says Elliott attacked Thompson at the Canvasback Lane apartments in Columbus, Ohio.
"You used physical force that caused injuries to Ms. Thompson's arms, neck and shoulders."
INCIDENT #2
On July 19, the NFL says there was another altercation at the Canvasback Lane apartments.
"You used physical force that caused injuries to Ms. Thompson's face, arms, wrists and hands."
INCIDENT #3
On July 21, the NFL says there was a 3rd incident at the Canvasback Lane apartments.
"You used physical force that caused injuries to Ms. Thompson's face, neck, arms knee and hips."

The league says it went to prosecutors to find out why Elliott was not charged with a crime. The NFL was told, "We never concluded that she was lying to us ... we generally believed her for all of the incidents."

Couldn't happen to a better two teams (Cowboys/ Buckeyes). Don't feel sorry for the Cowboys at all. This is a bad apple, there was signs of this before the draft and the Cowboys took him anyway.
I think this is more about Elliott's body of work, not necessarily this incident. Kid's been in the NFL for just over a year and has been a trainwreck off the field.

The fact that she lied means she will lie again. If anything, pulling down the girl's top at the St Patty's Parade warrants a suspension, that's absolutely assault.

He's needs to stop messing around with thots and focus on his career. I think six games is a bit much but hopefully it's an eye opener for him. Especially the threat of any further incidents resulting in a ban.

He'll either get it together or be one of the biggest wastes of potential of all-time.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the NFL still could investigate suspended RB Ezekiel Elliott's involvement in a July 16 bar brawl and "pursue further action" against him.

This link may not work for you.

No sympathy for Zeke here. He's been an idiot for over a year straight. Maybe we can chalk that up to being so young and rapidly ascending to most famous person in the NFL, but it's time to clean it up and put on the big boy pants now.

Well the NFL has clearly handled this in a nefarious way. They have put themselves squarely in a sht storm. Wouldn't be surprised if Zeke ends up not missing any time.

It's pretty funny that the woman that interviewed and investigated EE's accuser was kept from Goodell. She concluded that there is no credible case against Elliot, and that the authorities did well to dismiss the charges.

It appears the NFL is pandering to idiots and trolls like you guys......you know who belongs in each category......

I think I fit both.

Dude is an idiot though that needs to grow up. But as I said about Manziel, if there was a camera on me at that age I'd be in jail for life

Grandstanding because they feel it's "time to make a statement" is likely going down as a misfire here.

Does Goodell feel the need to prove to the other owners that he doesn't favor first Kraft with Deflategate and now JerryJ with EE ? Seems to be dumb choices as a leader in any other biz. Here, the publicity engages the non-fan right as the season begins.....

Funny that weirdo had no issues with Burfict getting 5 games for a legal hit in the preseason, but calls people names who criticize Elliott.

The basic summary from the NFL's report seems to be that he was suspended because he didn't cooperate with the investigation. In terms of the assault stuff, the evidence is this

- there are no witnesses who testify they saw Elliot beat her, despite her claiming he did it in public multiple times

- there are however multiple witnesses contradicting her statements

- there are text messages where she discusses extorting him with a sex tape

- there are text messages of a friend asking if she wants her to lie about the assault

- there is evidence she was in a bar fight with another female the night she called the police about the bruises

- It does appear he manipulated her into getting an abortion, which is a scumbag thing to do but not illegal.

It seems they were upset with his lack of cooperation, similar to getting upset that Brady destroyed his phone. I also have to imagine this is at some level Goodell trying to prove he's tough on domestic violence after the Ray Rice fiasco.
