De La Salle v Euless Trinity

I'm a proud Texas homer. That being said, I don't see this game ending well for the home team. De La Salle by 4 TDs. 42-14 Cali.

At least these two programs aren't cheaters, like Bellevue (WA).

De la Salle is in a league of their own in this game. Why didn't they schedule Allen, Kathy or another big powerhouse in Texas?

Obviously I'm surprised but pleased by the outcome. Good showing by both teams . It will be interesting to see how the seasons play out for these two teams. I have a hard time seeing either team going undefeated the rest of the way. Very surprised the De La Salle couldn't shut down a one dimensional offense and surprised they couldn't throw more effectively.

De La Salle got cute before halftime running that trick play that was fumbled and returned for a touchdown. Probably cost them the game.

. . . but the Trinity fumble that gave DLS the ball to start that drive should have been given back to Trinity. The DLS player never had control before the ball was fumbled out of bounds. Breaks go both ways.

DLS was not as impressive as everybody expected. Their passing game was average at best. If they had to play every year in the monster Texas playoffs they would still be an elite team but they would have many more losses.

Nice to see the #9 team in Texas knock off the national #1. Trinity's size wore them down in the end.

DLS has traveled to NJ, Florida and Texas and lost every game.

Trinity will finish substantially higher than #9 in Texas. That was one of the greatest sandbag jobs I've ever seen.

The worst one could possibly say is that Trinity would be ranked 7th going into the season in TX.

Considering Manvel and DeSoto both lost in week one, you'd have to put Trinity as #5 in Texas at worst based on the week one results.
