Conent was pretty happy about a district course record. Hopefully he goes after regional Troy record

Looks decent overall. Except for Carroll.
Dayton Carroll was 3rd overall at the Dayton District.
I understood that Centerville and Beavercreek held guys out, but Carroll still should be in front of Lebanon and Fairmont. Carroll has 2 studs that can be top 25 at the regional and possibly a #3 runner that can be top 30.

Fairmont was 9th at the district race. They probably should be lower.
Miamisburg has also never lost to Centerville this year at full strength. I would have Miamisburg at #2 overall beating St. Xavier if not #2 then at least a close #3.

I also think Turpin could be a #4 or #5. They have 2 studs and a good pack. Don't count at Turpin advancing next week. And then you have the ELDER equation. This is their head coaches last race after 40 years of coaching. ELDER could possibly run unbelievable or try and run the miracle race to make it out and die the 3rd mile. But watch out for Turpin and Elder to possibly be top 5.

If their #1 is legit as good as Woodridge's #1, they could be the best in the state D2. Right now, I'd be looking at them, Shelby and Woodridge as the top 3 with $V$M and Bay right behind. Unioto next and I still cannot help but be afraid of Lexington and Sheridan.

Madeira won DII Troy regional easily last year too 80-140 over Eaton. Fat lot of good it did them at state last year where they finished 15th. Maybe it was because they were so young last year. Their top three (Whitson, Arredondo, and Ramos) were all sophomores last year.

Psycho D. likes to pump up Woodridge's opponents.
Maderia is good but not close to Woodridge or Shelby. $t.V is probably next then Bay or Sheridan. Lexington does seem to get it right at State, but with two well over 17 at Galion Course, not likely this year. Sheridan almost pulled it off in 2017, but I have not seen them in 2018.

Woodridge has been so good and fast this year and has 7 top runners, I think only Shelby could beat them.

Madeira looks like the only team that has a 1-5 gap close to what Woodridge can do. So, if their 1 is as good as Woodridge's, then it's close. $V$M scares me because they seem to be pulling new guys out of nowhere. Right now, it looks like Woodridge can put 6 or 7 before their 4. Sheridan has a huge 5 issue. Bay has a 5 issue, but not that bad a 5 issue and I think they match up as good as anyone through 4 with Woodridge. Same with Lexington. Shelby has to put 2 in front of Woodridge's 1 and might have to put 3 in front of Woodridge's 1. If Woodridge #1 and Shelby #3 come in close together, Woodridge could still put 5 in before Shelby's #4. That's how small the 1-5 gap is that Woodridge has. 35 seconds!

Shelby 1-5 gap is 1:49...2-5 = 1:22 ... 3-5 = 32 ...4-5=8
Woodridge 1-5 = 35 ... 1-7 = 1:10
Madeira 1-5 = 49 (That's nice)

Shelby has to hope that their #1 is at least 1:00 to 1:20 faster than Woodridge's #1

With all that said, you have to respect your opponents and I've seen Woodridge pull off a couple of state championships against odds greater than some of these teams have.

Madeira has a great pack, but it will be hard to get the job done with no front runner. Woodridge’s front man is the #3 overall returner from last year and their 2-5 file in nicely behind him. With the 2 big guns up front for Shelby, it will make for an interesting race. I’ll go ahead and predict that Woodridge’s best running is ahead of them and they will take it.

SVSM and Bay match up pretty well and will probably be competing for 3rd. It seems like Bay shuffles things around a lot, so maybe they haven’t shown all of their cards.

Rounding up the top teams should be Madeira and Unioto. Lex could always be in the mix, but their #5 is a ways back. Sheridan is in the same boat with their #4 guy out this week. We will have to wait and see if he is back when they match up against Unioto and Heath at Pickerington.
