Compared to previous years, this schedule looks good, open at home, get Pittsburgh away after a thursday game. The only downer is a monday nite game in dec, hopefully global warming will make this game tolerable weatherwise. I have to fire up the grill more often this summer, run the lawnmower at noon and fill up the gas tank in the afternoon.

Hope they can find some OL in the draft or available free agents...

Reading they might draft Fournette or Mixon with their 1st or 2nd pick. Pretty god dam in dumb move when you don't even have an OL. Hill and Bernard are probably done being their most productive, but they're serviceable when healthy. Drafting a RB early is dumb, so dumb.

I wouldn't mind it with the 2nd pick, but it would be an absolutely horrible decision to do it round 1.

My buddy went to some event last week down at the stadium and Duke Tobin spoke. He said if fournette was there they'd draft him and that after speaking with Mixon he trusts his character. Also said this was a terrible draft for OL and apparently he got noticeably excited (my buddy used a little more graphic language) when talking about Rueben foster.

Agree here EP. 4-1 start to the season would put them in good position to get to 10 wins (6-6 the rest of the way gets them to 9-7). Definitely need some more OL help, but the mock drafts this week have a couple DL slipping to them in the 1st Round (I've seen Allen or the kid from Stanford as the rest of the top 10 go DB or offense outside the Browns taking Garrett).

Reuben Foster failed his combine drug test, diluted sample. That usually is a indicator of a bust in the NFL. [Notice that I didn't say failed drug tests- it is failing a drug test at the combine that is the problem]

They're trying to draft the next Zeke, but they don't realize Zeke runs behind the best OL in football. He's still a great player, but that OL deserves a lot of credit.

Fournette is not going to be there at 9 anyway

Probably not, but the idea they're that stupid is mind boggling.

Unless you go by their drafting philosophy for the past few years.

What would be mind boggling stupid would be for the Bengals to not draft a potential multi-year all pro at #9 in favor of reaching badly for an offensive lineman who is a marginal first round talent.

Pretty excited for round 1 tonight since it seems no one has any clue what's going to happen. Hoping the Bengals take someone in the front 7 - Allen, Thomas, Foster, Barnett, Charlton...all have potential and help immediately

Charlton? Hope not. I'd be happy with either of the others. Lapham apparently thinks they are going with Ross, which is not a way I would go.

I don't know much about him honestly, but all the draft people I read act like his ceiling his incredibly high. Probably the least safe of that batch though
I definitely don't want Ross. Injury plagued and a guy that fast with hamstring issues just screams something that will be a problem every year

I would have no issues with WRs Williams, Davis or even Howard at TE at 9. I think they can get decent RB depth later in the draft (Mixon would be a no brainer with the 2nd pick, imo). I think they have to get OL depth in rounds 3-5, so I'd expect at least two of those picks to be OL.

My prediction: Since Foster and Ross fit the no-play rookie-year redshirt first round pick the Bengals like, I fully expect to see one of them picked at 9.

I'd be ok with pass catcher, DL, or if either Adams or Hooker is available at 9 for safety. It certainly doesn't seem like Adams will be there.

I expect the pick to be Foster if Allen and Thomas are off the board already.
Agree on the running backs. Good draft for them and TEs in the 2-4 round range

I'd say between the first two picks they likely need a DL and offensive skill position.

I'd actually like the Foster pick, but I seem to be in the minority.

The best scenario for the Bengals would be if Allen falls to them; that would be great pick.
I am in favor of the Bengals picking OJ Howard if no one drops, like Allen. Howard's blocking would help the running game and Eifert is a potato chip.

Failing a drug test at the combine is a red flag.

I'd be ok with Foster. They've had a below average LB group for years, he and Vontaze should be well above average with potential to be one of the best.

Agree here. Would be great if Thomas or Allen falls to them at #9, but would mean the rest of the top 10 went heavy QB/DB. Foster as their fall back if those two are gone is a nice pick as well.
