Rushing, passing, receiving yards and tackles?

What about "arrests" and "years served"?

Just the positives.

I'm particularly interested in the stats that got each of them the Mr Football Award. So if they were a running QB, then the running and passing stats would be important. If they were a running back that played a little defense, the defensive stats would be nice but not nearly as important.

You know you could check the Archives of the Cincinnati Enquirer for stats of all the SWO players who won Mr. Football.

Oh. . .wait.

Thanks for the stats. I'm slowly working through them adding the pages for each player.

FWIW. While the peeps in the greater Cincinnati area would consider only the counties South of I-70 and generally counties adjacent to I-75; thus no Mr. Football winners (according to them); Ryan Brewer - Troy (1998) is located in the SW District and his route to the Award was via being selected as a SW District POY.

Looks like 11 went to Ohio State, and 4 went to MAC schools. Of course, if always seems like declaring you are going to Ohio State is worth a few extra Mr. Football votes.

Thanks good info. I do know Backus chose Northwestern and Brewer went to South Carolina when Ohio State laid off him. Think he was on a Carolina team that beat the Buckeyes rice.

What about Marc Edwards? He should count as SW Ohio even using those geographic parameters should he not?

As always you're on it! Edwards from Norwood in Hamilton County, you can't get much more SW than that, therefore at least two from the SW District.

Really? A player from Troy (which most people in SWO do not consider SWO but more NWO) and a player from 25 years ago?

The Bias against SWO is so bad that most SWO HS Fans just ignore it.
