Presentation of the 2017 NCAA Penguin Cup

As noted, the Penguin Cup is presented to the last place finisher in the Pick'em contest.
The 2017 ncaa pick'em contest provided us with a thrilling, back and forth, down to the wire, battle for last place between "Projectile Vomiting" and "crooked bdhof".

As the dust settled, and the final scores were tabulated, the officials opened the envelope to announce the 2017 winner. You've could've heard a pin drop as the tuxedo wearing MC cleared his throat and let it fly........ "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm honored to announce the winner of the 2017 NCAA Pick'em Penguin Cup .......silence ........dramatic pause ............
And the winner is...............Projectile Vomiting!!!!
........balloons dropping .....confetti...... wild screams.........
The first runner-up, crooked bdhof, runs on stage to congratulate Projectile Vomiting and they engage in a long (maybe a bit too long) deep hug with tears flowing from both contestants.

But wait, an assistant sprints from the back of the stage to whisper in the ear of the MC. Much like the Oscars, there seems to have been a terrible mistake. While the margin of difference was only 2 points, the accounting firm failed to include the "deplorable deduct" of 2 points against bdhof for being crooked. Chaos ensues on stage, and the MC finally gets everyone to calm down. He apologizes for the mistake and announces that for the first time in history, these 2 losers will share the title of the Penguin Cup for lowest score in the pick'em contest. Wild screams and applause from the standing room only audience. Projectile Vomiting & bdhof, gather themselves, fix their hair, embrace, and are now walking down the runway holding hands, crying tears of joy while waving to the adoring fans. A truly storybook ending to the battle for the 2017 Penguin Cup!

Congrats and God Bless to both deplorable losers.......

I know I said earlier that nothing more need said about Projectile but I was clearly wrong. The Pope had much more to say! It brought tears to my eyes! and those long hugs must have been awkward to watch!

This is a sign that I may need to switch my major to bracketology.

As winner of the NCAA pick'em contest, I'd like to use my power to formally announce a takedown and stall point award to BoJo against Hall and crown tOsu another champ.

Also,
I'd like to thank Pope Francis for that read above.
I'd like to congratulate former competitor bdhof on winning the million.
I'd like to thank BoroFan, as I made a yappi a few years ago to comment on his rankings and try to boost myself up. (Was ranked 6th at 182 in 2014 but only went 1-2 at states).
I'd like to give credit to my mother, for cheering me on throughout this competition even though she thought this was basketball.
Lots of credit goes to my cat, for several reasons.
I'd like to thank my ex-girlfriend for giving me the motivation for success in this life independently, leading me to win the 2017 NCAA pick'em competition. Also for thinking that as a wrestler, I'm in the WWE, which is why she is my ex girlfriend.
I'd also like to take back any credit given to my ex-girlfriend above. She doesn't deserve credit.
I'd like to congratulate Bear73 on his 15th place finish.
I'd like to thank bdhof once again, for crunching the numbers and putting this whole thing together.

Prediction for next year. Whoever wins will be widely ridiculed for a lame acceptance speech.

Cthelites, I'll try to do some research today and see if you've ever done one of these before.

Quite a tumble in 2 short years. I embarrassingly and humbly accept the Penguin Award. That last minute change to McKenna proved to be the fatal blow.

I'll be back next year for more abuse.

I haven't trust me lol.
It was supposed to be an exclamation point not a question mark.
I'm looking forward to next yrs Pickens and will even do the B1Gs now that I have my footing.

bdhof, thanks for the pick'um. It was fun as always. Congratulations on winning the $1,000,000. As a disqualified competitor, I have happily advised the IRS of your windfall. Hope you don't forget the big check when you file this year.

Finished 6th in the B1G
Finished 13th in the NCAA. Was the leader after round 1.
Sub section 13.14b paragraph 2 reads; The leader of Round One and Round One ONLY will receive one and one half (1.5) bonus points.
That moves my position up in the final standings to 10th.

Averaged together after B1G and NCAA that makes my finish eighth overall.
Effectively...making me the overall champion.
Thanks for all the hard work bdhof.
