I think a Medina win would be a big upset.

Medina guards are better. Jackson way overrated. Copley having less size at all positions outplayed Jackson. Shaffer and Sartain will dominate the guard matchup.

Jackson was really, really, really good when I saw them put a whooping on Mentor. When Jackson is on, it is hard to imagine them losing. But they have a couple losses this year, so it's not like this is an impossible team to knock off. As much as I would like for Medina to win, this is a huge long shot to say the least.

If Copley would've outplayed them wouldn't they have won? Just hard to imagine a team getting outplayed but still winning?

Way over rated? Please explain how so? Copley hit some very tough shots and played a good game. You would think if a team out played another team they would have won? Jackson did not play their best game of the season that is for sure yet still found a way to win.

I'm sure the Medina guards are very good, but I think Jax guards are far more solid than they get credit for. It's easy to be overshadowed when you are playing with a front line of Young & Hill, just due to how damn good they are. Don't want to butcher the spelling of their last names, but I thought #5 & #24 were both fundamentally sound, make few mistakes and hit open shots. Pallotta and Dingler are both very athletic and can take over games for a few minutes at a time as well. Jax guards don't force other teams into a lot of turnovers, but then again they don't make many either. Bottom line though, is the Bees will have to win these guard match-ups by a significant margin in order to offset the opposite result that's likely to happen on the front line in order to have any chance at all, in my opinion. Good luck to both teams.

I think one of the reasons neither Jax nor Copley "looked like themselves" had a lot to do with how hard they defended each other. They both really got after it on that end of the floor. It was very difficult to get where you wanted to go on the offensive end that night, and every basket was definitely hard-earned.

Jackson's starting guards each have over 50 steals, collectively shoot 40%+ from the 3 point line and have an assist to turnover ratio of over 2.0. They are not flashy like some other guards but they have clearly been productive, both offensively and defensively.

A few years ago Notre Dame was in the NCAA championship after taking several OTs to beat a team that lost to Youngstown State.

I will try to post updates from the game tomorrow night.

Two years ago, Medina defeated Jackson in the district final 45-43. Many of the same players were on each team at the time.

Jackson is one of those teams that doesn't play well as a favorite, no matter what the sport. But this team's only blemishes are a loss to perennial D2 state title contender St. V on a buzzer beater and dropping 1 of 3 games against their archrival. Bears by 20.

Hasn't been a good start for the Stark County schools to start the regional round. Time for Jackson to change that. Go Bears!

The UA people are saying it'll be a sell out. Line to get in is already ridiculously long.

Around 1200 tickets left.

Technical difficulties with the national anthem, so the entire arena sung it together. 3-4000 people singing it together was really cool.
