The theatrics before the UK-Kansas game were embarrassing.

Go Northwestern. It's amazing that they've never made an NCAA tournament. You almost have to try to be that bad.

They beat Michigan on a pretty sweet full-court inbounds pass to a buzzer beating layup tonight

Michigan has gone from 14-9 and 4-6 in the Big Ten to the Big Ten Tournament Final and possibly a 6 seed.

Thank you OSU for beating them at home. It was just what they needed.

It's so hard to tell if this is a fluke or Duke is actually rounding into form. They've been so bipolar this year, there's no way to know. They could just as easily win it all or get bumped on the second round. Tatum is a monster, that put back slam was nuts.

Duke got a ridiculously easy draw in the lower half. I think it'll ultimately be Duke v Nova, but Wisky will give Nova much harder 2nd round game than Scar/Marquette will v Duke.

I could see UNC Wilm getting to the Sweet 16. I'm picking them to beat UVA and East Tn St to beat Florida.

Ville v Michigan in Round 2 is tough. Gotta go w/Ville in that bracket.

Sucks that NKU got a 15 seed. You don't see intrastate first round matchups too often

Teams seeded too low:

Wichita State
Notre Dame
Middle Tennessee St
Wisconsin

Too High:
Gonzaga- frauds
FSU
Vanderbilt- most losses ever for at large and they're at a 9?

Overall the Committee did a good job.

I don't mind Vandy being in, but a 9 is ridiculous.

Would be cool to see Wichita give UK second round payback for a couple years ago

Wichita St as a 10 is crazy. Does that mean they would have been left out if they didn’t win their conference title? Kenpom has them ranked 8th in the entire country and they're a 10 seed. Potentially matching up against Kenpom #4 Kentucky in the 2nd rd.

And if they lose to UK, it has the effect of retroactively justifying the seeding. “Oh, they didn’t even make the Sweet 16! Couldn’t have been that good.”

overall i think the committee got the field correct.

however, some seeds were WAY off.

Wisconsin as an 8???
Vandy with a 9???
Witchita St with a 10???

those are my 3 head scratchers. and when i say that, i mean that their seed was more than 2 off. if a team got a 4 seed and you thought they deserved a 3, then whatever. NBD.

Yeah, they got royally effed a couple years ago too, earning a 1 seed with an undefeated season and then having to play 8 seed Kentucky in the second round, which should have been a 3 or 4

Minnesota too high
SMU too low

Thought the committee selected the right teams in terms of the at-large pool. I think they did an awful job in terms of seeding.

Usually I'm more excited about the Thurs/Fri portion of the tourney than anything else just because of the craziness. This year I actually can't wait to see the games once it gets down to about the Elite 8 because a lot of these teams are just much better than the rest

Last year's first weekend was the best I could remember in a while. I'm thinking this year will be pretty tame until next weekend as well.

I don't see any 1-3 seeds going down today or tom with the exception of FSU. Round 2 could be interesting w/ UK, Nova, and Kansas getting tough draws.
