No doubt there is validity to that, but given those two things happened and UC still won, I'd say they win 7 or 8 times out of 10 against Xavier this year.

I think it's absolutely fair to say if Bluiett doesn't have a once in a lifetime game shooting the ball in the first half, UC easily wins that game by 20+. It's pretty moronic to even question that statement, it's so obvious.

Right, because 99/100 games he doesn't even come close to that performance.

Um yeah. And to that I would then say "well if sumner scored like he can and at least one post player showed up to the game and Bluiett had a normal game and X rebounded like they have all year, X would've won." We could go back and forth constantly with hypotheticals.

Jeeez, you're dumb.

you can stop with the bs "shouldas" and "wouldas" you can literally say dumb sh!t like that after any sports game ever. "If so and so did this and they did such and such better, woulda been a blowout." Well no kidding! I could sit here and say X should've rebounded the way they have all year and would've won the game or the refs called 10 more fouls on UC so if XU shot more free throws they would've won with the way they were shooting at the line, etc...

UC took care of business by destroying the glass and they deserved a win because they wanted it more.
lol this is funny because I've seen you do this in the XU thread regarding XU's turnovers against Baylor

Yeah probably...but I bring it up here because it's all I hear from UC fans in person, not just on here. And it's not just about stating what your team could've done better for them, it's gloating. Yeah, I get it, you won and are the better team. X is still a solid team (not if they lose Sumner) and it's ridiculous to think UC should have blown them out.

But I think I'm officially over it now. 4 days later.

It's not ridiculous at all considering Bluiett had a once in a lifetime game. Sumner's played like garbage before and we all know the XU front court is extremely soft. That game definitely would have been a 20+ point blowout for UC if Bluiett wasn't acting like Steph Curry in the first half, no doubt.

All good. UC should be very happy about that win...

...considering X will continue to dominate the series the next several years with the recruits coming in.

And e_p, stop pretending to be an X fan because if you really were one you wouldn't talk so much $hit about them.

Was pretty funny seeing the 7'6'' dude from UCF drop the ball into the net tonight. The whole arena was laughing.

Huge game at SMU on Sunday

SMU with a potential trap game tonight at Temple, almost wish they played UC on Saturday for the quick turnaround. Would be great to own the tiebreaker and a 2-game cushion with less than a month to go.

I don't want to jinx it, but this Cincinnati team is flying under the radar as quite possibly the best team they have had since Huggins. Still play the same in your face defense, but with Caupain, Washington, and Evans they run a competent offense as well

I've caught them quite a few times this year and its still a team I have a hard time picturing making a deep run. That also could be because every game I've watched it feels like Jacob Evans takes about 10 threes and acts like he's the 2nd coming of Steph Curry except...he isn't

Looks like it's BB&T Arena for next season, according to Tom Groeschen. Can't blame UC. US Bank is a dump, and according to rumors they were asking way too much.

Holy Grail is mad about it (via their Twitter) which I find funny given they pulled a location that was 500 feet from UC's arena.

But as far as Evans, I didn't think he shot all that many either, Winston. Checked ESPN, he's averaging 4.5 a game.

Evans is averaging 4.5 3PA/game. Not unusual for Jubbs to be overly critical of anything involving UC.

He just went 2-9 and 3-9 from three against Tulsa and XU in the last 2 weeks That's a lot of threes for a college player, especially when half of them he was well behind the line with plenty of time left on the shot clock

Yeah, he hits about 37% of them. He's improved his TS% nearly 100 pts to 586 and his eFG% nearly 100 pts to 557 and takes less then 10 shots a game. He's a good player. I don't think anyone thinks he's Steph Curry. Dumb comment by jubbs.

Great, you're focusing on the outliers just so you can be critical of UC. We get it.

I pretty clearly said that's what has happened in the games I've watched. And UC hasn't really been good enough since Huggins left for me to care about bashing them

Jubbs is mad because Jevon Carter takes more 3s and makes less 3s a game than Jacobs.

Just talked to Evans and he does in fact think he's as good as Curry.
