If someone "laughed" at his original assertion then they were presuming no comparison ever and that simply hasn't held correct so again, it's worthy of the call-back. The young man has obviously had a career that is in some ways positively comparable to Grant. Would Grant complain about this thread?

I think I'm probably about to "get it," lol.

Could be worse. At least I didn't step into the middle of a Canton McKinley - Massillon Washington dispute. Or is it ALL of Massillon they "hate?" The city, the townships, any road leading in....?

Very Nice Raymo. It was a great article. Fed had a great senior class this season. I think a couple of D1 schools will be wishing they had offered straughter after they see what he does at Walsh. Good luck to that young man.

Man I wish he was going to Ohio State. 1st time watching him tonight and am very very impressed. Definitely prefer Young over Justin Ahrens. A lot bigger body and more well rounded for sure

I (from NWO) recognize Bosley, Morgan, Henniger (though not sure why), and Witte. What became of the others.

Thompson and Namciu played in the 50's. I don't know any more about them.

Kukura currently plays for Mount Union.

Concheck played at Ohio State and was a team captain in 1985.

I honestly didn't see this post until now:

In response to the post you were responding to, I can add:

Leroy Thompson played at Waynesburg HS from 1949-1953 and then played at the University of Rio Grande for 1 year alongside Bevo Francis before deciding to give up college in order to marry his HS sweetheart.

For those who may be unaware, Waynesburg HS was 1 of 3 HSs that consolidated to become part of present-day Sandy Valley HS. Waynesburg went to the state tournament during Thompson's sophomore and junior years and finished as runners-up his junior year.

As for Jon Namciu, he played at Timken HS and led them to an undefeated regular season during his senior year of 1959-1960. He played at Murray State and was an all-conference performer during the 1964-1965 season (Ohio Valley Conference).

Chad Nigro played at Minerva in the late '80s and went on to play college ball at Mount Union. He was a guard.
