2018 NCAA Tickets
I plan on attending the 2018 NCAAs and have been struggling to get correct info on purchasing tickets. After an exhausting web search, I found a NCAA phone number that I thought would help me. Naturally, no one answered, so I left a voicemail that was naturally never returned. When I searched for the number again, I couldn't find it. They probably decided to delete all phone numbers because bdhof is retired and he will keep calling until he gets an answer. Strike one.
Then I had a brainstorm. Since the MAC is sponsoring the tournament, they perhaps can help me. The MAC actually answered the phone, but the guy I needed was in St Louis at this year's event. They told me I could email him. I did and he told me that the tickets would go on sale today. I checked the NCAA site and they don't have tickets up yet for 2018, so perhaps he was wrong. Strike two.
Having only one strike left, I decided to go to the source of all knowledge pertaining to wrestling - Yappi. I'm sure some Yappians have attended the NCAAs in the past. Do any of my Yappi friends know when tickets go on sale for the 2018 NCAAs based on past purchases or inside information?

Tickets are on sale now. They are all upper level selections only.

I bought my upper level just in case I can't get lower. I have a feeling tickets are going to be tough to get.
Anyone know if there are volunteering opportunities?

The link above is for 2017 St. Louis Tickets.
I would think the 2018 tickets will be on sale similar to this year which was January'ish offered through the universities 1st.
I did see the tweet @TheQArena saying on sale now- i think that's bunk.

There is a link to both 2017 & 2018
The link takes you to Quicken Arena. I talked to them and they said the NCAA only gives them upper level sets to sell. the NCAA distributes the rest. She did not know the process for this.

Just talked to a lady at the OSU ticket office. She told me that the NCAA distributes the rest of the tickets to the NCAA teams. I don't know if this varies college to college, but OSU will sell their allotment to Donor Club Members ($1,000 + donation to OSU) with a 4 ticket max. So, if you aren't a DCM then you sit in the nosebleed section.

I was online at 10:00am and noticed the only upper decks were available and they were on the ends, not center. Too bad a common fan is shut out of the good seats.

I think they're all upper level. The ones for 215 are a few rows closer.

With the 2018 tournament being in Cleveland, myself and some friends of mine were considering going all out and getting a box/suite. For all I know, it might be way outside our price range, regardless of how many people we have chipping in. Does anyone know details on NCAA tournament suites, such as what is the rough estimate cost, and how does one go about reserving one?

How do you obtain those good tickets? Family member of a wrestler or booster? Or, some other means that you could share for others?

Although I don't know the specific answers to your questions, here is some half-baked data:
I'm in a group that purchases a suite every year, and has for something like 25 years running. Even with that streak, we sometimes have difficulty getting a suite, so you may find that they are already "sold out." Cost is probably in the $10k - $15k range. We split the suite cost + beer + appetizers, and it's generally about $1000 per head (I don't know how much of that is beer and food vs. tickets).
Only advice - Call the arena / ticket office now, and hound them until you get definitive answers. Try to get on a waiting list if they say it is sold out, and see if they have any knowledge of secondary markets.

Did anyone pay $135 for convenience fees when ordering tickets? When I ordered my tickets last week my 4 tickets were $175 ea. x 4 = $700 + $135 convenience fee = $835. I went back to the site out of curiosity this week and 4 tickets had a service fee of $50. I got a hold of someone (after numerous phone calls and over an hour waiting on hold listening to elevator music) and they credited me back most of the difference. I was curious if I was the only one who got charged $135.

$2200 a person isn't bad....I mean you are in Cleveland.
"What's your mindset going into this suite? Explain to us how it felt when you ordered the $400 stale nacho appetizer?"
"Let's go over to Billy who is giving hand jobs to random PSU fans."
$2200 is looking better all the time.

Those quotes are classic , correction you get 18 tickets . So less than $2000 a seat. The last time I stayed in Cleveland the valet did $5400.00 damage to our BRAND NEW Explorer parking it in the garage . Think this year we will Uber from Columbus . Sit in the cheap seats .

They take deposits of 500 to establish a priority list. Once the list is deep enough they price it out based on demand. The Q representative said most likely January they will start making calls to the priority list. If you do not want it at that time the $500 deposit becomes a credit towards any future Q event. No cash refund. We were 9th on the kist when we called in early February..
The representative said the NCAA BBALL tournament was around 8-10k for a suite and he thought that was good estimate. 35k Seems high. We wont know until January or whenever they start pricing them out.

I was going to look into this and had contacted someone that has a suite for the season. I was hoping this would be part of their package - but not the case. If it was, I was going to offer up some cash and get a group of people to chip in. No luck.
