St. Edward is the first team that comes to mind. They were pretty young in 2016, so they should be loaded this year.

Mentor should also be really good.

UHHHHHH...Private schools ??? Are we going to actually go through the yearly charade of pretending that someone other than the big 5 or 6 recruiting factories are gonna make a run in D1?

Don't be absurd.

Thanks for saving us all from even having to think about it. Allows us more time to not find other things to complain about.

Anything less than an undefeated season and state championship would be a very disappointing year for St. Edward.

It will be interesting to see who the last few teams are in DI based on the new enrollment formula. Will it bump up any teams that can actually compete for the state title in DI?

doubt it D2 was the weakest
of the 3 Top Divisions last year.
But of course we will have to throw LaSalle out there so the board doesn't melt
down.

That's the one that I was thinking of but not real sure they can make it all the way up to DI unless they have over 100 kids on their roster that will be apart of the CBP adjustment.

In SW Ohio, Moeller and Fairfield are returning tons of talent and were young last year. Dayton area seems pretty soft with the exception of Wayne, but I'm sure they won't be a factor in hosting up a state title trophy

I know that Olentangy Liberty will be loaded as well. They return their QB that started the majority of the season and a lot of skill. Former OSU OC Ed Warriner's son (Jr) is a beast that missed the second half of the season due to an ACL injury. He will stay in the district next year to finish school in Ohio.

St. X should win 5 games during the regular season so they have to be considered a contender. GBM

I am by no means an X fan but after this year you have to acknowledge that if they can win enough games to qualify, they are a threat to win the whole thing!

Hopefully all of their fans' hearts have finally stopped racing by now from all of those tight games on their way to the title.

Being a Southwest Ohio follower mainly, all three of the D1 GCL teams will be in the mix. Moeller will be hungry for redemption I bet.

Colerain will still win most if not all of their regular season games but will probably stub their beaks against a GCL team again. Question marks exist on defense and the o-line for them.

On paper, Fairfield has a well loaded team coming in to next year. Maybe this is the year they put it all together and beat a GCL team or two come November?

Wayne is going to be in the mix from Region 3. What do the two Pick schools have coming back?
