World Record attempts

It is exciting to see that pro track is starting to do some cool stuff with teams. Recently New Balance women set the indoor DMR. This weekend, HOKA athletes are going after the 4 x mile relay. I think this is great to see with athletes teaming up to go after records.

Maybe we can build on this and have different teams battle against each others in relay events like this. I think it would be a great way to bring some excitement to track and maybe we can get a great promoter to drum this up for some great tv coverage. If it was competitive, maybe they would cover the entire race.

How cool would it be to see 4 guys from Ohio team up to go after the 4 x mile outdoor record. Murphy, Alexander and Leslie all went sub 3:58 past weekend in the Wanamaker Mile. Too bad Prakel and Kidder are still in college, not sure what some of the others are doing like See, Jordanek and others. I know the possibility is weak with pro contracts and different shoe companies but wouldn't it be cool!?

Kidder is no longer running for Penn State, guessing he has graduated. He won the 1000 last week at the Millrose Games at the Armory.

NJNY did break the WR in the indoor 4 X mile this weekend in NYC. Colby Alexander was set to anchor according to a DyeStat article 3 days prior to the race but according to an article post-race, he wasn't 100% so they pulled him at the last minute. Not clear if he's sick or hurt.

Regarding the above post, Alexander, Murphy, Leslie and Kidder would be amazing. My word...Ohio may win an "All-States" 4 X mile contest. (Using present milers). Maybe hands down.
