Huge difference between Stow and St.Iggy, the Dogs looked like a young team on the way up last week but against a loaded State power they didn't play well at all.Same old Mck football, the kids will grow up during the season.

Do you really think this Ignatius team looked "loaded?" They could easily start 0-3.

Both QB's looked good,if they had time to throw the ball they would both be very good.

Jalen Ross(WR) really impressed me.He will be a good one.

But the OL has to give the QB's more time to throw the ball.

Warren Harding is strong/good on the OL and DL and have a really good RB and a good QB.

I just read in the Canton Repository that McKinley returns 5 starters from last year.

And there will be a lot of sophmore's starting and getting playing time.

Back in Canton for the start of football season. That's nice he got a 3 year extension, but he better beat Massillon.

PS What happened to the Canton McKinley site

Dopamine asks: What happened to the Canton McKinley site?
---------------------------------

Henry, Welcome back! Good to have you join the conversation.

Regarding the McK Forums, One day they were just shut down... No warning...No explanation...Nothing! (at least to my knowledge.)

Many of the old gang are here, and I look forward to the future - at least there are more active posters here. It should be fun.

Good luck to all, GO PUPS!, sam MCK'68

JAF, On another thread, you asked me the question (paraphrasing):
What can the Canton BOE do to propel the Bulldogs into a state power?
Please let me answer here.

In my briefest answer, the BOE can SPEND more dollars on the team and
place an emphasis on winning. There are many specific items, but let's
stay general for now as you are going to want to use those same dollars to
cover educational plans.

It is a balancing act for sure, but I prefer to tip the scale in favor of Sports, and you prefer Education (from our past conversations).

One last point, watch the scrimmage between Ignatius and the Pups - it should be obvious that Iggy IS a State Power, and McK is not. To get McK on the same level as Ignatius, the BOE is going to have to change the current way they view sports.

JAF, I give you the floor with the last word. Respectfully, sam

Sam , I am a long time Mck booster ,supporter and friend of the program . You need to give yourself a realty check . The school has BIG discipline problems all the way through the system at different grade levels . An ambulance has already been called twice to Lehman MS because of kids getting hurt bad enough in fights they needed medical care . The BOE is focusing on how to quell the problem of Mck becoming East side high . Its embarrassing . A family member id head of CCS security and fills me in weekly on what he encounters . Its amazing teachers are able to teach and the good kids are able to learn . Sorry JAF ,these old geezers are lost in their own minds so I handled this one for you .

thank you . Finally a Mck fan with some common sense . Nothing against the "Old Guard" but a lot of them in here are in Florida or another state and would like to hear all the good news but are deaf to what really is going down in the schools .

I don't think the dogs lines are big or deep right now. true there are some young dogs comin that have size but they are too young.

Sophomores all over the field getting looks - could be one of those years where young guys get early experience, if they make plays then obviously the chances each week improve.

Looks like toughest games are on back end of schedule so the new faces could be seasoned by then, will be an interesting season to watch leading into next year as well.
