Does your field have turf or natural grass?

Seems we are heading to more and more schools having turf. Post in this thread your school and the type of surface they play on...

Salem installed turf within the past 2 years.

According to the article, add East Palestine and Southern Local to the list of turf fields already mentioned in this thread.

All MAC schools are grass fields.
All WBL schools are grass except Wapak and Defiance which are turf. St. Marys has turf on a practice field, not at their stadium.

I had forgotten that EP had turf. I was there years ago for a track meet. Nice venue.

Isn't it a requirement that you have turf to host playoff games (Excluding first round games)?

Used to be OHSAA always played games at Ohio University and Marietta College. Now a lot of schools have Turf so no need to

I have asked the coaches at Lancaster about getting turf and they say they don't want it. They actually prefer playing on natural grass

I figured new stadium, no way they go with grass. Never been to Champion, so couldn't remember what I've seen from either google maps or highlights of their games. Figured it was grass. Couldn't imagine they'd have turf but just wasn't sure.

They've had exceptions in the past (even played doubleheaders at Cleveland Browns Stadium back when it was still named that). However, turf is the desired field. With the plethora of turf fields now with adequate home and away stands, there's really no reason to see a second round or later game on grass ever again today. Unless, of course, the Browns ever wanted to host games at a bargain price.
