All those kids that add to the CB number...almost all went to other parochial schools. This is what you don't get.

There were only 2 kids that came in after 8th grade...
and that is how kids select schools, just like the St marys elementary and JH schools in Van Wert feed the Delphos St Johns schools, and how you have the same thing happening in Piqua, they feed the Sidney Lehman schools....that is how Catholic schools are run.....

by the way, congrats to the JFK team last year...good hard nose team

Is JFK as fast and physical as they were last year? Their defense was as good as any I have seen in awhile.

Unbelievable. I recall your many posts during last year's playoffs berating JFK and the fantastic year the Eagles had in capturing the State Championship.

You live across the state, more than four hours away from Warren, yet you are obsessed with posting your ignorant diatribes about a small Catholic high school.

No doubt you need to expand your horizons and get a life my friend.

Got a thing for Girard? 😞

You do realize that they only have 50 kids/grade. Who would you like them to play?

And they smoked your Irish in hoops this past year. Had every starter in double digits.

And yet Competitive Balance shows that 40% of your State Championship team did not live inside the JFK district.

You claimed they were "homegrown". Lol

You're pretty dense, JFK doesn't have a "district". They are a private school. Just like Open Enrollment schools they can accept students from surrounding communities. Speaking of OE, Fort Recovery is an active participant, which makes your absurd recruiting claims null and void.

Just what is this JFK district? Do you even know how CP works?

The CB number is 28, which means 14 kids out of 45. Since Warren City and JFK's grade school are their feeder schools...that means those 14 kids came to JFK after 7th grade. That's 3.5 kids per class from one of the following LOCAL schools within a 10 mile radius.

Austintown D1, Howland D3, Niles D3, Girard D4, Liberty D5, Brookfield D5, Lakeview D5 , Hubbard D4, Ursuline D4, Youngstown East D2, LaBrae D5, Newton Falls D6, McDonald D6, Champion D5, Southington Chalker D7, Matthews D7 , Badger, Lordstown, Maplewood, Bristol, Mineral Ridge D7, Jackson -Milton D7....

Plus, the kids that went to St Rose, St Stephen's, St Pat's and St Joe's all add to the CB numbers....

Yep....local kids...all within 10 miles. You have zero schools within 10 miles.

Clueless....

I'm well aware of how CB works. JFK had 14 football players last season out of 37 (maxpreps roster) that's 38% of your team that came from somewhere other than your feeder school (district).

Clearly JFK has a Lot of (large) schools to draw players from to field an exceptional team.

What percentage of your non football kids are from schools other than your feeder schools?

Private schools have no resemblance to open enrollment schools.

Open Enrollment schools are REQUIRED to accept a student as long as there is classroom space available.
Private schools are very selective on who they allow in.

According to Norton21 he was there when Athletes were called and actively recruited to JFK, presumably for their athletic ability.

I did say i was there when this happened but it was also at least 10 years ago. Had zero to do with last year. Different administration different coaching staff different decade.

I think JFK slips under the radar bit bc of how mooney Ursuline Hubbard and a few more run their programs around the valley.

Your perception of reality is far different than actual reality.

The only football player on FR's roster from outside the district is a kid who has attended FR his entire school career. His dad has been a teacher at FR for nearly 20 years.

I have the advantage of being pretty close to JFK finances and I can tell you that you aren't just a little wrong..........you are completely wrong.

I have no idea. My belief on it is most of the kids going to jfk their parents have ties to the school. They don't get big time talents going there to play football. They are just good quality players that play together from what I see. Like I said before it doesn't matter to me. We are one of the few local schools that schedule them. Its a great measuring stick game early in the season and i am sure they feel the same way

After long thunder delays before the stsrt and with a minute left in the first quarter the first teams only played a half. It ended 7-6 Campbell. JFKs offense looked rusty to start and the line had a tough time picking up stunts and blitzes. The defense looked good. Gave up a long touchdown pass on a bit of a busted coverage but that was the only offense that Campbell had. The D looked fast and aggressive. The O settled down and looked much better after the second weather break. The were going in to score again but had a tipped pass interception at the one. They also had about 10 players out with injuries and thing, so overall it wasn't terrible for the first live action against someone other than themselves.
