Class of 2022 Big Board

Flo has released the initial top 50 for the incoming freshmen and Ohio holds down 8 of the top 50 spots. Nice work, gents!

I have been fortunate enough to see these kids up close, and they are all studs in my book. My question is...who else should be on this list? Or could be in the future? I imagine we will see some shake up after Fargo in a couple of weeks.

I will start with a few that I definitely could see taking a spot in the top 50 - Ayoub, Cernus, and Fishback. Who else you got??

Nate Burnett beat Anthony Ferrari who is top 10 on freshman big board last year. Nic Willingham, Brody Conley, Severs who was #49 on original flo rankings, Fenton who was #50 on the original flo rankings. Fenton has Jh wins over 2 sophomore top 100 kids in Chappel and Mann. Also has a win over freshman top 10 Cruz before. Fishback and Cernus are other who would make freshman top 100 for sure. Just think people say this is down year for Ohio.

I'll add Paul Haywood and Evan Anderson to that list as well of exclusions. Crazy that those kids are not on there.

Think there is 6 Ohio kids on newest flo rankings with 1 Ohio kid list as Indiana kid. 2 Ohio kids got bumped from the original rankings Severs was #49 and Fenton was #50. Fargo will change the ranking a little but some are better freestyle wrestlers than others so I donít hold bad losses against some of the kids there. Plus rankings are great to look at but at end of day donít mean a thing. Just happy to have my son wrestle and become friends with most of the Ohio kids mentioned on the list and thread. All the kids work hard and it will be fun to watching all of them develop down the road. There will be a few sleepers kids that put in a ton of time who come from the back of pack to pass some of the guys who are on this list and mentioned in this thread.

Thought Paul was on the list. Wow not on the list. He dominated the heavyweights class this year. Maybe one close match I recall him in.

How did I miss those two? Fenton and Burnett are good calls as well. Stacked class.

Not to mention Willingham, Cuerbo, et al that brought home the title at VAC and should've won McDonogh (with one weight a forfeit) if the ref wouldv'e called Donahue's pin against the Scorpions correctly. /RANT OFF

Shumate beat Harper ranked #4 and badge #26 at Philo. - kid should be near the top of the list also.

Severs wanted to wrestle all HS events after OAC. To me beating a HS state qualifier or HS state placer should trump winning a MS event. All about wrestling next year in March.
Best wishes to all!!!

Cernus and Haywood were arguably the two most dominant kids on the Ohio National Team last year. I still say they should both be on this list. And I could make an argument for several others as well.

Have to love the matchups in these...my son (no where close to the list) is in this grade/class and has wrestled about half a dozen of the kids on the list.

One kid in the 40s has stuck my kid every single time they have wrestled in an actual match (two times, both this past season) and was never really in either match.

Another kid in the top 10 my son was beating late into the second period and then lost a couple good scrambles to lose by minor decision.

Just matchups being different I guess. Fun to know a few of the kids on the list as good wrestling buddies.

For sure. It also gives younger kids (like my son) the belief that it is possible someday.

All changes when their balls drop and they aren't afraid of the name on the singlet.

Does anyone know if Ohio State is recruiting any of these young studs? It may be a bit early in their recruitment (still have a lot to prove) but curious if anyone has any insight.

We just picked up #2 ranked Nick Bouzakis up from an Ohio State camp yesterday. That kid is the real deal. I will be interested to see where he goes to high school. I was hoping Blair but looks like it will come down to Lake Highland or SEM. Either way - great kid, great family and will definitely be tOSU, Iowa, Penn State material.

I also think Noah Pettigrew at 11 is ranked a little low. That kid has grown man strength. I am curious to see how he does against the upper classmen this year and not sure if his team wrestling a top level schedule

Coaches aren't allowed to call until the recruit's junior year.

#46 teched #6 this weekend and #1 I believe placed 7 th. Any of these kids can beat each other. I'm not so sure I would want my son to have the burden of being #1 at anything before entering high school. You have no where to go but down ! That is alot of pressure
