LOL...

“I mean, he’s a d— … when you have to play him,” Garrett matter-of-factly adds with a grin. “Even in practice, sometimes, I wanna chop him in the throat. He talks smack to everybody.”

He's not Barkley because he doesn't have the same range of talent or skill.

I assume you mean the 2017 draft. I don't believe he was ever rated about Fournette, either.

Guess we won't know because Chubb hasn't had the opportunities Barkley has this season.

And I bet Gettleman (Giants GM), who was considered one of the better in the business, is secretly kicking himself in the arse for taking a RB that high when old broken down Eli is still trying to sling it with a pretty putrid 2019 QB draft class on the horizon.

Chubb definitely hasn't had the opportunity to run behind an awful line and rely on a past-their-prime-when-their-prime-wasn't-really-that-great-anyway QB to run the offense.

Tough to say. Someone in the FO was definitely loyal to Eli.

Load up the OL in the off season and this team may make some noise next year!

I think they need to load up on defense, get a legit #1 speed WR and one more OL and they will be fine. I'd use most of those picks on defense in what should be a very solid defensive draft.

I think the Giants are content with their pick. The kid is fantastic. They are closer to being a decent team than many realize. Add a decent QB and some OL help to Barkley, OBJ and Engram and they could be quickly back in the hunt

This is correct.

So it's essentially a comparison of

Mayfield
Ward
Chubb

vs

Barkley
Mayfield
Josh Jackson(first CB taken after Mayfield)

I'd probably go with the first option given how good Ward has looked, but it's certainly a debate and not something that can be determined for at least another couple seasons.

Still don't get the assumption that the Browns would've gotten both Mayfield & Barkley.

Easier said than done, as all Browns fans should know.

The 2019 draft looks pretty bleak for QB's. Justin Herbert would be the top QB and it sounds like he's staying in school. Haskins would likely be the #2 QB and that would be a HUGE reach in the top 3, which is likely where they will pick.

The Giants had their QB (Darnold) at 2 and decided to go RB.

That's their next head coach. Funny part is, from all I've heard coming out of Cincy, from dolts like Dave Lapham and their media, they solely blame Hue's failure on "because Cleveland." Sounds like he can do no wrong in the Nati.

Hue Jackson is a joke. He's nothing more than a politician worried about his own self preservation and making himself look good than the good of the team.

I find it funny that he had over 40 chances to make progress here, only winning 3 games, and an interim steps in and wins in his second attempt.

The players hated him, referring to him as "Michael Scott" (from The Office) and his infighting with Haley was poisoning the locker room, where you want your rookie QB to thrive.

Call this super "conspiracy theorist" but it wouldn't shock me if that botched AJ McCarron trade for a 2nd & a 3rd was Hue seeing the writing on the wall, trying to set himself up for when he returned to Cincy with draft picks. Up until then, the thought of Cincy/Cleveland pulling a trade was pure blasphemy but now that Hue's in the building it's possible? Thank god someone (cough-Sashi-cough) sabotaged that horrible trade. Yeah, I know....very far fetched but wouldn't shock me with Hue's "save my own arse" mentality.

Good riddance to bad garbage. Couldn't get out of here fast enough.

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Only a vocal minority thinks Hue can do no wrong. There is a lot of disappointment among the fan base that Hue is back and a lot of worry he will take over in the next couple of years.

Assuming you're a Bengals fan, I think your fans might do a better job running the franchise than Mike Brown. I hear a lot of b!tching from fans about the team. Fans may dislike Hue but from what I've heard the media thinks it was Cleveland's fault that he sucked here.

HUGE win for the brownies and I think their biggest step, since draft day, in becoming relevant again.

The win over the Falcons or the win that Hue is back with the Bengals?

Probably both. It's been a long time since the Browns truly dominated a team and Sunday was complete domination. Nice to not have to worry about them stealing defeat from the jaws of victory, like usual.

When the Falcons couldn't score late when they were in the RZ really sealed it for me. I figured that they would score and then have plenty of time to mount the comeback. If they scored, doubt woulda overcome that stadium and team but that stop ended it right then and there.

The hit by Peppers at the goal line was vicious.

Heard the Browns/Texans game in Week 13 could be flexed to Sunday night to replace what could be a clunker between Seattle & SF.

How many prime time games do you think the Browns will get next year? I'd say 4-5, even though my preference is the Sunday 1pm games.

1 Thursday, 1 Sunday night, 1 Monday night unless we're counting 4:15 "national" broadcasts as prime time.

Completely disagree. Don't mind a night game if it's on a Saturday since I don't have to work the next day. Late games are the worst because one of two things happen with the Browns...a) they shock the world and win, which means I'll be amped up and get very little sleep or b) they will lose in some absurd fashion which will leave me pissed off and not able to sleep. Either way I'm getting 3-4 hours sleep.

The third option is that they get boat raced early, which means I'm going to bed at a decent hour because I know they won't come back. That can kind of be thrown out the window with the emergence of Baker Mayfield. I was about to go to bed at halftime during that Jets game, figuring they'd get shut out, until Tyrod got injured. As soon as Mayfield came in I said "I'm sticking around because they are going to come back & win."

Eh.

Only bad thing about prime time games is trying to unload the tickets most times! Friends couldn't hardly give away the tix vs the panthers last Thursday. Just so many people cannot, will not attend those. I know with our distance we have to sell MNF and TNF tix or take off a lot or work to go!

Sunday at 1:00 doesn't stink. If you live in town it is perfect kick off time as you have enough time to get to the stadium and tailgate plus enough time to decompress afterwards. Finally it gets you out of going to Mass
