Probably ate a bad doughnut, needed to find a bathroom real quick. Not his fault. Blame it on Mama C.

That video doesn't show enough.

I think you need to do a better job of thinking.

To be fair, he’s already flogging it at the start of the video...it doesn’t show what might have happened prior.

Either way, he was certainly clear of any perceived “threat” well before he reached the crowd.

It doesn't show the point where he started speeding so there's no way to say one way or the other It appears to me you're convinced of malicious intent without seeing all the evidence.

If his car was indeed attacked as he reportedly said it was, given the fact he sped until he smashed into another car, he may still have been in a panicked mode.

The reporter questions clearly trying to get the President to pick a "more violent than thou" side. He held his neutrality by condemning in an all encompassing manner. Hope he holds that ground. This is what the last guy didn't have the stones to do, and that's one reason this crap has escalated and caused people who only want to look at another person and see a person, to feel a need to take a side and see a demographic or group. I'll give him another kudo, he even stated in such a way to be clear this violence he unequivacally condemned, was before Obama. He's not picking boogeymen. Country needs to get on board that.

Should rallies featuring hate groups like Neo-Nazis, the KKK, etc. be allowed to transpire in 2017? (Not to mention last night's got more and more violent as the night went on, yet there were no police in riot gear, etc)

Yes its foundational to the country. You don't have to like their message, you can in fact hate their message, but they have the same right to their speech as you do. Someone could find your beliefs offensive and move to silence you.

Let them spew their hatred, laugh at their ignorance, and move on.

BLM is a group with an offensive agenda. They elevate one race above all others aka KKK. To say white lives or all lives matter is considered racist hate speech.

Huh? There are 2 sides. White Suoremacists and those who oppose them. This was domestic terrorism. Neutrality???

Kudos to republicans breaking from the White House on it.

You may not like them but women's and minority rights groups are not supremacists, or hate groups.

Is antifa the most oxymoronic name for a group ever? Anti fascists who operate exactly as fascists.

President Trump made a POWERFUL STATEMENT? The dude is the first to talk about "radical Islamic terror" but refuses to address the white nationalists and call them out. These are literal Nazis marching with "dog heil!" gestures saying Heil Trump! He knows they are his base. Get out of here with that ****

Still trying to figure out how protesting the removal of a monument is racist, as it's been portrayed.

Depends on how they go about their business. If they spew hatred for another group o' people = hate group. If they allow Ashley Judd, Madonna, Roseanne or Rosie O'Donnell to speak publicly, probably = hate group.

If Maxine Waters is a member, probably = hate group.

Those are pretty easy calls.

This is the problem with your argument. I personally know plenty of Trump supporters, not one of them is a neo-Nazi. To claim neo-Nazis are Trump's "base" is just an attempt to inflame the argument.

Trump's "base" is middle Americans. They agree and disagree with him on plenty of issues, just like EVERY other group of supporters for EVERY other candidate. What makes them his base is that they align more with his ideas than they do Hillary's.

The most interesting thing about this argument is that Trump will be re-elected if the economy is good in 2020. He will lose his re-election if the economy is bad. His "base" didn't have it so good under Obama and is hoping this change of leadership will help them and the rest of the country.

Absolutely true.

I would like to see the President issue a simple statement tomorrow.

"As I said yesterday, violence from or against any group is wrong. It should not and will not be tolerated. And to racists and anti-Semites who claim to support me, know this: I denounce your bigotry and reject your support."

I don't see anything wrong with Trump's initial statement. But the statements from GOP senators, representatives, and state politicians have been direct, and only make Trump’s look worse by comparison.

Not difficult to find members of KKK say the same about their little group.

That's a small sample of the love that BLM representatives are spewing. Proofs in the pudding.

It's a despicable group that's gathered legitimacy by way of their catchy title. If they had even remote success at getting those who represent the group to stick to the stated intent, they might have done some good. But the very title cries an eternal professional victimization. They are not an organization of hope looking to put themselves out of business. They are a group looking to obtain entitlement off others.

The events in Virgina yesterday are very sad and concerning. But please remember that in America, all are able to freely gather and assemble, regardless of what it is or what people think. This is the price we pay for freedom. Also remember that no matter what we do, there are .01% of the population that don't get it, or can do things like what we saw yesterday.
Trying to place blame is useless at this point. The blame is on the man who decided to drive into a crowd. The blame is on the folks who chose to assemble, then get out of hand. That's it.
I do tip my hat to Trump for making a hearty plea to the American people and stand up and be a leader.

Trump's strongest support is among these white nationalists. These are the core of his base. His refusal to disavow literal Nazis is both alarming and horrifying.
