That is correct. Toronto is leaving the EOAC at the end of this school year. They gave their notice to the EOAC in January of 2018.

Thanks! I was trying to compile records before the draw, good to know there was good reason I couldnít find that score.

I like the way Chaney plays. McDonald at this point looks completely outmanned. 41-24 at half.

When Chaney can get away with and basically play that 4th grade, cage in with your arms defense on Rasile, makes it kind of hard for him to get open. But yea, more athletic than McDonald as a whole.

Chaney wins 77-56. Chaney is a really good team, tall, long, athletic, and have some nice shooters, they’ll be a tough out for anyone in their district.

As for the officiating, as mentioned above it was awful. That crew shouldn’t be privileged to be able to ref a 4th grade game. I don’t think there was 1 off ball foul called, despite blatant holding, arms completely around Rasile, and even one time knocking him flat on his back. I digress. Either way a good tournament prep game.

Chaney was the better team. McDonald with WAY too many turnovers and missed some easy point blank shots at the basket. But, that being said, the refs were horrible. Rasile was getting fouled all night away from the ball. There was one play that occurred right in front of me where he was knocked to the ground hard and no foul was called. I am glad Coach Rasile got Tíd up. You have to stand up for your players. And Celli played a heck of a game. The smallest kid on the court was playing like he was 6í2Ē- 6í3Ē taking it inside again and again against the much taller Chaney kids. If I am Coach Rasile, I show those drives to the basket to the bigger kids on the team and ask why he can do that and you canít. There was a play with a few minutes to go where one of the taller McDonald kids got a bound right under the basket and instead of going back up with it, he dribbled out to the corner. That sort of thing would drive me nuts as a coach.

It really is up for grabs this year. I think any one of 10 different teams have legitimate shot.

10 might be a stretch, but starting the sectional final every game is gonna be good. McDonald vs Wellsville, Lowellville vs Southern, Lisbon vs Sebring, and even Springfield against the winner of EC/STA since those teams play brutal schedules and have been competitive against some of the good competition.

McDonald, Lowellville, Springfield, Sebring, Lisbon, Southern, Wellsville, STA and E.C. so you are right I miscounted its 9 of 12. Still a great competitive District. I don't know that anyone has that extra level to advance past Districts but most of this bracket are solid/good basketball teams.

While the STA/EC winner may be dangerous and pull an upset, Iím not sure they have a legitimate shot at winning the district. Agree itís a very competitive district. No team head and shoulders above and multiple teams with ability to win it. The winner will play the Willard district winner at Canton

Think you are probably right on the assessment on EC but I still wouldn't sleep on them and definitely am not ready to say STA can't win the District. That league is no joke and they are taking good d2 teams to the wire as of late. If either of them can sneak past Springfield they can beat anyone in the District.

That was a rough game officiating wise. With that being said, Chaney is good. It was a nice test for McDonald late in the year. They have a solid match up with Girard and then a game that might get ugly against VC. But having those games late aren't a bad thing heading into the tourney. They won't face a better team than VC unless they make it out of Struthers.

I'm not sure how VC is gonna come out against McDonald. They play today against Hubbard and Thursday at Crestwood to determine the PTC 'ship. They might rest some guys or rotate more liberally against McDonald.

Hubbard is pretty bad I think, they should be able to roll and rest guys there. Obviously Crestwood is the most important game of the week for them. I hope VC is somewhat fresh and ready to go Friday, especially Square, but understand for sure if they rest guys.

McDonald fell to Girard last night 48-42. Game followed the script to most of the losses this year, led for good portions, let it slip away in the 4th with tons turnovers. One last tuneup Friday at a very good 15-4 Valley Christian squad.

Springfield has a big test against Labrae Friday that will be telecast as the WKBN GOTW.

VCS beats McDonald 58-52 in a very entertaining game. McDonald as has been the case in all their losses led most of the game, as high as 14 in the 3rd. VCS was able to make a nice comeback fueled by turnovers and making their free throws, which McDonald missed a plenty. McDonald had 2 golden opportunities in a tie game with 1:30 left but missed a 1 and 1 and then missed 2 point blank layups. On to the tournament

Man. McDonald could have 16-17 wins if they could just finish some games.

Possibly, does seem like every close game they come up short. But the hope is playing these good teams and close games will prepare McDonald for when it really matters in the tournament next week.

Very impressed with seeing Zach Rasile live. Even his misses were on line.
