I saw that Ms. Hunt made 3 attempts at 14'. Did anyone happen to view whether she had some decent shots at it or not?

Nice clearance at 13' 7". She's good technically-speaking. Run-up wasn't exceptionally fast or long, but VERY good plant and take-off leading to a nice swing. She does the "Sam Kendricks" thing in throwing the head back, which contrary to what people might think, leads to coming out of the rock-back too soon, not in aiding the rock-back. She does a good job after that at recovering for a nice extension off the pole. She does need to stay a bit longer in the concave around the bar. It'll help clear higher heights by keeping the C.G. lower when going around the bar.

Given that she's still only a junior, I definitely see 14' 0' - 14' 6" next year, no problem. Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending on whose camp your in), she may not hold onto that record very long. Freshmen Kenna Stimmel (Margaretta) just cleared a D3 record of 13' 1/4", and coming into the HS ranks next season is Greenon's Tru Buddenberg who cleared 10' 10" as an 8th-grader this indoor season.

Speaking of Kenna Stimmel's new state record, I lifted this pic off of Erin Caldwell's twitter post. Very nice jack-knife technique by Ms. Stimmel!
