Erin Busbee's 19' 11 3/4" from the 2010 Wayne Invite - Wind Reading?

OK, this mark is listed as the Division II state record, but I can't find a wind reading on the mark from Finishtiming (the timing co.) or any other resource. Would anyone know what it is? I would suppose, possibly wrongly, that OHSAA would require a legal wind reading on a state mark? I'm updating all-time lists and don't have anything for her on this one. Any help is appreciated.

I have never seen a wind gauge at Wayne in long jump. THeir pits run across the field and they have one along the straight

Thanks for the info. I wonder why OHSAA would list this as a state record?

I would send an email to Dale Gabor. He is the one in charge of track and field for the OHSAA. Ask him why?

Correct. The there is section on the form confirming wind readings being legal for the straight sprints and horizontal jumps that must be signed by the referee. I'm surprised that slipped through - Gabor is usually a stickler.

Hmmm...I wonder if a wind gauge might have been setup for Ms. Busbee's jumps, wind read, reported to OHSAA, but never recorded or reported in any of Finishtiming's data that they published?

I know that back in the 1980s & 1990s before timing companies and the software came about that gives us all our wonderful data today, that one had to go down and copy down wind readings from those old yellow carbon copies that used to be posted on the A-frame boards at OSU or on the outside of the press booth at Welcome Stadium. I still have a number of those copies from back in the day for races that were of particular importance to me. Otherwise, wind readings being published didn't start happening until about 1999. I'm still trying to track down the wind reading on Ramon Johnson's 25' 9 1/2" at the state meet in 1996 as well as others.

Were wind reading taken at this year's Wayne regional or state meet in the long jump. I don't see them on the results.

State meet had wind readings - see www.Finishtiming.com under their results.

Just looked at Finishtiming's Wayne Invite results - all readings are "0", so it looks like no wind gauge present.

What results are you looking at as I see all of the wind readings from regional meet at wayne and at the state meet. I was not at the wayne invite meet but one of my crews was and I will ask them but not sure about wind gauge.

No worries on that. All your data is there. Clear as a bell.

What I started this thread about is the 19' 11 3/4" jump by Erin Busbee at the 2010 Wayne Invitational. That is listed as the State Division II record for girls, but there doesn't appear to have been a wind gauge at the long jump for that meet, or any other long jump at all the other Wayne Invites. Not your problem at all, but I do wonder about is if OHSAA's accepting for official record purposes jumps where no wind gauge was present, let alone a legal jump? That is the purpose of this thread.
