That was some crazy officiating at Lake, neither fan base was happy with it,from the multiple fouls to the many conferences they had to discuss things. Double technical for what? And if it was a double technical why didn't Lake shoot foul shots?
Bottom line Dover missed way too many opportunities to keep it close.Lake kept missing foul shots and Dover failed to capitalize.
Good Luck to Lake,as anticipated we had a cordial host unlike our previous experience at 2 other Fed schools.

I think Dover tried to push the envelope a little...there was a lot of grabbing and shoving in the first 5 minutes..the most I have seen all year. The refs then tried to get control of the game and then the calls became very inconsistent.

Lake didnít shoot free throws because the double technicals cancelled each other out, and there was a personal foul on Lake just before, which was the reason Dover shot free throws.

Agree that the officiating was crazy. Neither fan base was happy and they had every right to unhappy. It simply made the game tough to watch. Literally a foul every 30 seconds. Hope it gets better next round.

Massillon played well but couldn't quite get there. Alas, no Polar Bears v. Tigers. For the second year in a row there will not be the rarest of high school matchups.

Seeds #1 through #4 are left. It looks like the coaches got the seeding votes right.

We're now down to 56 teams remaining in DI. Who's going the furthest? The next games are Wednesday.

The 8 District semi-final games have already been played in the Cincinnati region. So it's already been reduced to 56 teams.

My bad, just presumed once you got to the neutral site games that everyone was on the same Wed/Thurs/Sat schedule.

Because of the number of games that get played at some of the district venues (namely UD Arena and the OU Convo), the schedules vary until we hit the regional level.

I wish they would play these games back-to-back on the same night rather than spread them over two nights (Wed/Thur). One of my favorite things about tournament basketball was getting there early to watch an earlier game or staying and watching the next game. It was always more fun staying for the next game when you knew it was the next opponent.

I remember those nights......but you had to find a way to get a ticket when held at the Civic Center. I am wondering if that was the reason and if the OHSAA figured they could get more tickets sold by having them on two nights.

NE Board decides this. The OHSAA had nothing to do with it.

Well, if the NEDAB thought this would sell more tickets. They are sorely mistaken. Ever since they moved to this schedule, attendance has been pitiful. Lost the casual fan who would come out because it was the doubleheader.

Also, the tournament seeding and no placement, as well as games at higher seeds venues are also failing.
