SCC has a very good team, but I'd expect the MAC champion Flyers to be a very tough test for them. Marion Local played a much tougher schedule this year than Central IMO. Based on the OHC's history against the MAC in seemingly all sports, I like the Flyers by around 10.

For Central to win, I think that Doolittle has to have another big game and their perimeter defensive pressure has to be exceptional.

I would agree with your assessment. Esp. about SCC defensive pressure, ML does not have real good guard play.

Irish can win but not if they turn the ball over 20 times. I believe defense will be there. Maybe resulting in the winner being first team to 50.

Marion Local jumped out early and was up 17-5 after 1. Central seemed to make a few adjustments that got it to 7 at half. Should be an entertaining second half!

55-33 final. Marion Local ran away with it in the second half. Those guys are a real deal state title contending team with their defense and physicality.

Second and third chances and dominating the boards have been a big part of Central's winning formula all year, and Marion Local probably held them to 3-4 offensive rebounds. I don't think the officiating made that big of a difference. By and large they let both teams play. The difference was the Flyers playing 5-6 guys (virtually three on the floor at a time the entire game until the end) that were 6'4-6'6. That's really tough for anyone at this level. Central had a great year, and there's no shame in losing to a team like ML. I feel safe in saying they're one of the 3-4 best D4 teams in the state. Either them or the Mullets of Fort Loramie will play Cornerstone Christian or Mansfield St. Peter's in the state finals.

The idea is to play defense with out fouling correct ? For the game I think ML shot 8 fouls shots, SCC maybe 5, their were just not very many fouls committed period.

Yes, that's the idea. I wouldn't necessarily believe that high school kids have perfected that. Being called for 4 fouls in an entire game is a bit ridiculous, especially with the talk before the game about how physical both teams are. The better team won tonight, but the lack of calls didn't help matters.

Congratulations to SCC on an incredible season and good luck the rest of the way to Marion Local.

Marion local dominated. Their size and defense was way to much. Bruns had 20 at one point

That's what he finished with. When he got his 20th it put his team up 19.
