The OHSAA must be outsourcing. Anyone else notice on their football page their composite schedules links to the thread here on Yappi?

With the recent retirement of Dos Equi's "The Most Interesting Man In The World" this comes as little surprise. Who else could they possibly turn to?

Yep just noticed earlier today and saw they had a link for Time Warner for schedules as well.

He's worked with them in the past to resolve issues. My guess is that his numbers were the correct numbers more often than not.

This type of arrangement worked out poorly for Howard Stern and marksfriggen.

Does that mean we'll have to wait until Tuesday to get the updated standings or will he continue to update the computer points like he has in the past?

I have heard it said that when Joe Eitel uses a spread sheet the spread sheet thanks him.

Doing away with the "myOHSAA" database where they held schedules and outsourcing to Arbiter was the first clue. This is yet another. The OHSAA IS organization is having some troubles, it seems.

Either that, or the OHSAA has realized that they're better off allocating their resources to other purposes. Most people were already going by Eitel's computer point calculations and other websites' team schedules, so it's redundant for the OHSAA to attempt to re-create that information.

The Arbiter system, though a big step backwards for fans so far, consolidates game scheduling and officials scheduling/paying. Hopefully, once they actually learn it, it provides the member schools the benefits the OHSAA envisioned.

I still think it would be wise to have a backup plan.

We know about the times Joe corrected the OHSAA on the data they had incorrect, but we would never know about the times that maybe joe was incorrect, compared it to the ohsaa, and made a change.

Just saying a second set wouldn't be a bad idea

It would be great if Joe could go all the way back to 1972 when the playoffs began and put the scores in for each team by season. The OHSAA could then keep track of school all time records, pts scored for and against, etc.
