Claymont D-2 District Rankings #6

I love doing these rankings, but as it has been pointed out before, they are just for fun. To any wrestlers who read these and feel that they are ranked too low, you may be right.
I am bound to be wrong on many of the rankings, but fortunately they have absolutely no impact on how anyone will finish at any tournament this season or any other year.

Please let me know if anyone has inside information about new weights, schools, or wrestlers that they think should be added.

I’ve tried shifting the wrestlers around from schools that changed divisions. Please let me know if any are wrong, or if I’m forgetting any schools/wrestlers.

Team:
1. Claymont

4. Carrollton
5. Indian Valley
6. Sheridan

8. Licking Valley

I have Steubenville slightly ahead based off of placement, but I’m keeping Claymont at #1 due to uncertainty of Muldrew and the head to head win by Claymont.

Beaver Local dominated the field at the Buckeye 8 Conference Tournament despite being without Lasure, Mays, McComas, Salsberry, and Wright.

A special thanks to Boro Fan for all the insight into the weights of the wrestlers, Baum’s Page, the OVAC website, Inside the Circle, and Jake’s Wrestling for all of the results that they provide, and to any of the other wrestling nerds that actually read these things.

What are your top 3 closes weight classes in debating #1 and #2 guys at that weight? I know Peters has to be close to passing Rice, or Lasure over Muldrew. Any others?

I'm glad that you mentioned 138. That was an oversight. I should have had Peters #1 due to the dual meet win over Rice.

132 is very close, though it's hard to tell given all of the time that Muldrew has missed this year. Lasure may well be #1.

I think 182 could have a quality group at the top with Neece, Clark, and possibly Carrothers who mad a big jump this season.

I also think that the top 3 could wind up being in a different order on any given week.

I typically don't do individual sectional breakdowns. I believe there are 48 sectionals in the state (12 districts X 4 sectionals each), and that's a bit too much to cover.

I'll try to put out one more ranking for each district in the coming week, and then I'll predict each district when the brackets come out.

In Looking at the IVC and MVL league champ results, it appears some guys are bumping around. IV upper middle weights moved up and Pauley from Morgan dropped to 160. That definitely changes the dynamic of the Claymont Sectional and District. 160 just got loaded!
