If the committee was so good getting things "right," the #1 and #2 seeds should generally win most of the time.

Does anyone really believe that Alabama would have beaten Oklahoma last night? The real national championship game happened last night when Georgia beat Oklahoma, IMO.

There's no way that Bama is going to beat UGA with that offense, and I don't think their defense is going to be enough to save them this time.

You really are slow, aren't you? Unfortunately, the CFP got the seeds wrong, and matched up the wrong teams in the semifinal.

And I still believe that UCF deserved to get in the playoffs over Alabama, based on what we know now. Yes, that is hindsight, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Actually you are really slow, illogical, not knowledgeable, and very unrealistic when you say they got the seeds wrong, they were the top 4 teams regardless of who played who that's subjective, Oklahoma/Georgia scored 102 points in 2OT'S how was that the wrong match-up? Clearly Clemson wasn't the same team as last year and what do we know about UCF? That they beat Auburn? What does that mean? Auburn didn't make the playoffs either. Does that mean they beat Alabama,Clemson,Georgia or Oklahoma? How illogical does that sound? What about Clemson and Georgia they lost does that mean UCF should of got in or you just hate Alabama? What will you say when Alabama wins it on Monday? "they shouldn't of got in, that should be UCF's championship they went undefeated."

You don't know the difference between making big
plays on defense and relying on a defense but I'm slow......

Butthurt OSU fans are dogging Clemson now. The Committee got it right. You can debate the seeding, these were the 4 best teams.

Exactly. You can say that they picked the 4 correct teams based on the criteria you as a fan would like them to use, but you can't definitively say these were the 4 best teams, that's absurd.

They are dogging Clemson because they are pissed Clemson did not bury Alabama, like Clemson buried them last year.

Alabama wins. Alabama should have been the #1 seed but the re$arded OSU fans talked them down to #4

Bama wins this game easily, the D is too strong and has at least 5 or 6 NFL players.

Wisconsin ? Lost their biggest game against osu
osu ? Lost their biggest game to OK at HOME and killed by Iowa
USC ? Killed by Notre Dame
UCF ? Never had a chance with that schedule
Penn st ? Lost both of their biggest games to osu and Mich St

You're simply deluded if you think without a shred out of doubt that Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama would all advance in an 8-team playoff with OSU, Wisconsin, USC, and UCF.

I called Clemson the weakest 1 seed we'd ever see before the bowl season began. I stand by that, but that doesn't mean I don't think they deserved to be. They absolutely did. I wouldn't call that butthurt.

That's a dumb statement. It's 1 game, anything could happen in any of those match ups and one of the latter 4 advance.

The transitive property is generally an illogical way to go about sports, but UCF has a win against a team that beat both teams that are playing for the title. I don't care as to Auburn's alleged level of motivation, the bottom line is UCF won and looked rather good in spurts. I can't say definitively that they would have been wiped out by any of the playoff teams. They have a legit balanced offense and a so-so defense with an athletic front capable of putting the QB under extreme duress at times. They deserved to have a shot, and the lack of the accomplished little guy having any semblance of a shot at the title is reason enough to expand the playoffs.

The committee is 2 of 4 of then right? This was the first year the #2 seed has lost. I'd say for the brief history of the Playoff, they're generally getting it right.

They correctly seeded OSU #4 in the inaugural bracket over Baylor and TCU. Does anyone think Baylor or TCU was going to win it all?

They correctly seeded Bama #4 this year. Many didn't think OSU would beat Clemson ahead of the game. Nor USC, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, UCF, etc. They got it right.

Maybe no one? But it's tough to say with such confidence Clemson is a top 4 team. Their offense ran into an elite defense given a month to prepare and looked like they didn't belong on a D-1 field all of a sudden.

I didn't see anything that made me think OSU's defense wouldn't have given the Clemson team that showed up last night a lot of trouble.

One thing is for sure, the "Clemson will just roll OSU by 40 again" crowd looks pretty dumb.

It doesn't matter who the teams are, every year there would be a chance that one of the teams seeded 5-8 would beat one of the teams seeded 1-4. To think otherwise is just stupid.

Who cares? The top 4 are in, and they got the 4 best teams. Clemson was decent enough all year, and they deserved to be in.
