Nope, nope and nope. Also no East or Chaney. D4 is not nearly the beast it was last year. D3 on the other hand is an absolute meat grinder.

East got lucky being in D4 last season with those extra kids, now with the schools both having a team I canít see either making the playoffs anytime soon

Chaney is the one I would keep an eye on. Maybe not this season but soon. They are the ones with all the buzz and will be the big draw for kids in Ytown. East still has a ton of athletes and will be decent again. Depending on how the region shakes out, it could be tough to get in and a feat to get out.

If itís R9 itís gonna be a long shot any year to me, Chaney will still be competing with Ursuline Mooney YcS east fitch boardman for kids so itís gonna be tough to be consistent

Not true. East is the one getting the transfers. Kid from Hubbard just transferred back home to east. Pretty good player. They got amil the Mooney guy running the show. Aka Mooneyís best inner city recruiter.

Edit. Crap. Mixed up amil with east

Amill is the Head Coach at Chaney, hence the draw to the cowboys. East is still going to get their fair share but Chaney is the shiny new toy in town. They have a spectacular new weightroom, all new equipment, hell Amill is doing in home visits like he's a college coach and posting it on social media. Kids respond to that stuff. There are already 3-4 kids on the team that have D1 offers, without even playing a varsity game yet. Kids respond to that too. They are going to be really young this year and take some lumps but I really think the landscape of Youngstown football is going to change. Reardon will bring Ursuline back somewhat but the athletes are going to "stay home" for the most part. East and Chaney are going to be strong, if they stay disciplined. Places like Hubbard, Liberty, Fitch, Mooney etc could be hurting.

Milton-Union back to D4, Waynesville, Eaton, Dayton Northridge, Valley View, Oakwood... all from the SWBL.
MU and Northridge will be leaving after the next enrollments are released.
How is Clinton-Massie getting such high enrollment being in rural Clinton County? Hmmmm...
Nice to be back to D4.

With half of the school district in on of the fastest growing counties in ohio (warren county) its only a matter of time till massie moves up a division and the road to canton will be a lot more difficult.

I can see that happening. As long as Maddie keeps McSurely they will be very good. His kind is a rare breed. Hetrick, Niswonger, etc. all the same kind of coach.

There's never really been enough good kids to go around. Now there's less and less kids to choose from.

Sounds like a lot of 5-5 teams to me.

Why there hasn't been more plans for consolidation I have no idea.

Who? Ursuline and Mooney?
There have been years where Ursuline Mooney and 2 city schools were all good. Talent used to be a plenty in the city. But of course now those kids are branching into some of the OE schools in the area.
