Agreed. This has nothing to do with the athletic performance of the school and so much more to do with the school's push for testing standards. Many of the great teachers at our school absolutely HATE these testing standards. They believe the state (and subsequently schools) are more worried about grade cards than kids actually learning history, math, english, and science.

Its a great theory on the MAC though . I would say overall, the MAC is just that good at what they do. And their work ethic and families support the school and athletics as a whole better than most any small school conference that you could name.

How is the Korner after games? An extra half hour to party (or complain about the coaches).

what would be the reason to add Fort Loramie to the MAC. How many NON- conference games do you want to play?

Do schools have problems scheduling other sports programs beside football?

Unless Parkway leaves, there is no room for them. I was just replying to stirred's post. However, IMO Fort Loramie would be more competitive across the board than Parkway.

In my opinion, kick out Anna since they are a member only in football or give them the choice of joining as a full member in all sports or none at all. There is your opening for Ft. Loramie.

Ft. Loramie is more competitive than about half the MAC so you going to throw out schools that have not won a state championship in the last 5 to 10 years?

If Parkway leaves, it opens the door for Loramie and Anna...

It would be a blow to the SCAL and not likely to happen because neither will pull the trigger and leave without the other but in this scenario... you could theoretically get both to join in full... IF Parkway were to leave the MAC.

All hypothetically speaking of course.

Doubt it.

I know the CBC in other sports play each league foe twice, home and away, and I think that sucks to be onest with you getting stuck playing the same teams over and over.

actually there have been rumors( people sitting at bars drinking a few beers) saying that Parkway would want to leave. Just a feeling, Fort Loramie will NOT be added or any other school without being included in ALL sports again. And also NO team will be added unless an existing school drops out....

Talk to any AD about scheduling in any sport plus other than Parkway and DSJ it would mean less travel. In Football some schools would insist on 2 non league games so instead of 1 non league game you would have 2. No big deal don't have a true champion now so what is 1 more non league game. Adding FL would be a win win for everyone.

well then maybe for Parkways and the Bluejays having less travel, maybe we should ask Crestview to join

Really ? Crestview football program was on life support not too long ago. Plus the Knights would never leave the NWC. FL is a more of a natural fit to the MAC than Anna or DSJ like I said it would be a win, win for everyone.

Anna had their chance and wanted to play football ONLY.

Because they were not going to be the only one who broke up the SCAL...

If they both agree to go, it would happen. But neither will be the first. They would have to go together.

And, the SCAL actually has respect for their other members and would not backdoor anyone like the CCC is doing...

You think it would be less travel to go from Convoy to Versailles or Anna? Crestview would rather be the big fish in the small pond rather then be in the meat grinder of the MAC.

how about the Bluejays and the Panthers traveling to Fort Loramie...wouldn't it be closer for them to go to Crestview? Crestview also has a excellent sports programs

Hey, New Bremen and Minster would fit in that league too, geographically.

Crestview might be the closest of the NWC schools but you would still have games in Allen county with Ada, Allen East and Bluffton. About an hour drive. Don't forget about Paulding. Actually Lincolnview would be closer than Crestview.

Their are like 7 or 8 MAC schools within 20 miles of Fort Loramie, the Redskins would be a natural fit, question is would they be willing to join for all sports and walk away from the SCL, doubt if the MAC would let them join for football only.

LCC was in the NWC and they kicked them out. Do you think they admit another Catholic school into the league? When St. Johns left the WBL, I wondered why they didn't join the NWC since they would be in the middle of the conference. Instead they joined the MAC and they are an outlier geography.

Only if Anna walks too (or first).

The precedent has already been set with Anna. Why not?
For that matter, what if Parkway decided to play football and a few other sports in the NWC and cross country, softball some others in the MAC?

Yes the precedent has been set, I just don't think the MAC will go down that road again.
