Dayton Top Pre-season Teams??????

Who are the Top Pre-season Teams in the Dayton Area in each Division.

Division 1 ?

Division 2 ?

Division 3 ?

Division 4?

Havent heard much talk on here regarding the Dayton Area, I know my Trotwood Rams return some of the best area talent. Any other's worth mentioning as we are on the Eve of the Basketball Season?

Only 2 teams come to mind that maybe can compete with Trotwood in D2 this year is Maybe Alter and CJ? Dayton Dunbar is down and not OHSAA eligible.

Dunbar's best player Transferred to Thurgood Marshall they are definitely the favorites in City league and Top 5 in D2.

In division 3, I would say that Stivers and Middletown Madison will be 2 of the better teams in the Dayton area.

In division 4, if you count them as Dayton Area, Marion Local will be good again and I'd guess Fort Loramie will be back in the mix with a strong team.

Wow, Trotwood was 1 boy from the D1-D2 cut line. Much rather see them vs D1 schools. Guessing they won't see much competition until regionals when it comes to the tournament.

Seems that way for Trotwood, That D2 bracket in Springfield is pretty weak. Then their district game is always the weaker team of the 6 that makes it. Wont see a challenge until Taft Or Hughes out of Cincinnati....

Totally agree. I'll be interested to see how their season goes against some of their stiffer competition. Myles Belyeu is tearing it up at Saginaw State leading their team in scoring 22.8 ppg on 64% shooting from the field (and they've played some top D2 competition). No offense to Amari Davis, but I thought Belyeu was their best player last year. Belyeu's ability to get to the basket and either finish or get wide open shots for others was a huge part of their halfcourt offense. I was really surprised that no mid majors bit on him.

Same with SCC. Returning 7 seniors from the sweet 16 team that lost to Marion Local.

America is an unknown quantity at this point
D2: Trotwood, CJ, Alter... Alter just got all of their football kids back. Could take a bit to get rolling, but they will be really good this year. They have a solid nucleus of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. They also return their top nine scorers, all five starters, and key alternates.

For D3 I will throw Bethel into the mix. First 2 games they knocked off a pair of D2 schools in Bellbrook and Tippecanoe.
