ECC after week 1

WC wins low scorer over Hamilton
Kings over Lebanon
Loveland loses by 17 to Sycamore
Princeton runs over Milford
Walnut Hills whacked by Lakota East
Anderson looks less bad than Mt Healthy
Withrow destroyed by CPS non-powerhouse Woodward

Not a great 1st weekend for the ECC, unless Sycamore or Lakota East or Hamilton are much better than predicted.

Thoughts?

I agree with he above. I’d also like to add that withrow’s coach should have been left off the bus on the way back.

Agreed, if you get blown out by Woodward, you should be fired on the spot.

I think everyone knew there was going to be growing pains at Anderson. Hard to replace 100% off your offense. A lot of more running plays than I would have expected which tells me they miss last years receiving corp and qb.

Lebanon played better than I anticipated. Their QB is good.

Kings played well....still feeling things out on offense. Defense is improved from last year. They will be tested the next two weeks vs. Lakota East and Covington Catholic......hope to go 1-1 at worst.

Probably not a coincidence --- but that is how I would have ranked the 2017 JV teams.

I still think Anderson is better off right now than say Loveland or Turpin. Milford also lost more than Anderson did, so they may be above them. West Clermont should top this league, but Anderson should be in a fight for 2nd with Kings and Milford.

Kings still looks best to me. Turpin may be next or Milford. WC is way down, Loveland may give them a fight. Withrow belongs in CMAC.

Based off scores so far....thinking this weekends battle between Kings and Turpin goes along way towards determining the ECC Champ....meaning, if Kings wins, they don't have 2 teams left on their schedule that could beat them. If Turpin wins, they have tough tilts with Milford and Anderson remaining....but if they beat Kings, I'd think 1-1 in those 2 is possible/probable....

I think this league is still wide open. Kings would have to be the favorite, but beside Withrow and maybe Walnut. Anyone could be anyone else in this league.

Iím really interested to see the Milford vs. Loveland game. It will really tell us where those two programs are.

Kings will handle Turpin this week.

Loveland struggled so much with Withrow, hard to believe they will do much against Milford. Would love to be wrong. WC is down as well, no playoffs this year.
