Given that the Spire Academy reportedly has financial problems and is for sale, I am not sure if it is his best option for either basketball development or academics, but hope it works out ok for him. The financial problems would raise flags in my mind that would need some extra investigation, especially if I was paying the high tuition/boarding costs.

I love Raheem great kid very polite, but I think he'd been better off going the football route. True prep schools in Ohio never last especially pop-up preps there's just no funding. But everybody has hoop dreams I guess.

That's interesting. I hope Spire Academy can stick around. I know Anton Webb from Dayton Christian will also be going to Spire Academy, and he's another kid with a lot of potential.

Entire basketball staff at Spire is gone and former head coach Jackson is suing the school.

Spire academy needs to die off. We do not need these type of schools in Ohio.

Harmoy Prep in Cincinnati was much better than Spire was elite with the Oak Hill's and Montverde's. It's now Dohn Academy, much smaller scale prep.

That's a bit of a stretch....I consider myself to be a pretty big fan of HS basketball in Ohio....and I've never heard of Harmony Prep, certainly not at the level of Oak Hill and Monteverde. If it wasn't for the Ball clan, I'm not sure Spire would have been heard from outside of NE Ohio

So does that mean I'm making it up, just because you've never heard of it? I speak facts. I don't gain anything from lying. Harmony was on par with the Oak Hill's and Montverde's of prep. And Harmony was not high school it was prep school a REAL prep school.

Let me correct myself, it was a high school with a fifth year prep program with dorms and a freshmen through varsity high school team and an "A" prep team and a "B" prep team.

I remember Harmony Prep - was short lived. I think a former Miami University & Bengals running back was the principal - maybe Deland McCullough? I think they had a couple basketball players who ended up at UC like Deonta Vaughn??

Yes Deland McCullough, was the principal and Deontae was one of at least 8 D1 players on that team.

He(Deland) is currently the running backs coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Harmony Prep was the real deal and definitely could play with those schools. They had more that one team so if someone saw the regular high school team they had they be like what the heck are you guys talking about but the elite team was top notch.

Actually lost to Oak Hill in 06' by 7 in a close game in Lexington, Kentucky.
Oak Hill featured Ty Lawson, Michael Beasley and Noland Smith. I think the biggest lead in that game was 10 at one point by Harmony.

Yes you are speaking lies. Nobody north, south, east, or west of your little area has heard of or gives a poop about Harmony...lol

The whole Atlantic 10 wished it didn't exist a few years ago when Tu Holloway was terrorizing everybody.
