Congrats to Franklin on putting on a great tournament well run with good competition!

Lots of good wrestling all day.

I was impressed with the Carr Day. Chr. 138 he is a monster and looked smooth all day.

220 MVW Austin Myers was impressive all day long!

170 Valley View has another Day and he looked pretty tough.

Cambell County has a solid team, not weak in too many wt classes. Also when Dayton Christian gets the all there wrestlers back and in place wow.

Campbell County didn't look very strong in the middle of their line up. Light and heavy kids looked pretty solid. Dayton Christian has put together a heck of a team. The little Hoskins looked great and Carr looked even better. They both dominated good kids in the finals. When they get everyone in the line up, they are going to be very good.

I would agree about Cambell in the Middle of there line up. Who won Matthews or Hlliard at 195 ? I did not see the match

Western Brown has a solid team also it looks like once everyone is at there weight classes.

Campbells starting 152 was in a car wreck and is waiting to be released to wrestle ,The 170 who is dropping to 160 was not there as well and the state runner up 182 won 195 at Franklin should be at 182 in two weeks and CCs state ranked 195 lost 1 at franklin at 195.And some others will.be dropping .Not really sure why the concern about CC weaker middle weights ?? few teams if any are solid top to bottom.

No concern, just stating what I see. Really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. They won and deserved it, congrats to them.

No one is bashing them just talking about teams strengths and weakness at the tournament.

What was the score of Matthews and Hilliard at 195?

Am I seeing Franklin had 2 285's. Is that Franklin's full line up? Seen they had 5 classes open. Would be nice to have Hunter Bray. But Ted is doing big things at DC.

Any one know if the missing weight classes results will get posted? I would like to include the ENTIRE events match results in the database.

Myers only beat Crockett 9-3? Is Crockett just that good? I know he's ranked #7 on Boro's rankings, so he's obviously no slouch, but Ive seen Myers pin guys like Nye in the first period. I definitely don't want to start any drama on here, God forbid, just wondering.

I'm gonna guess that Myers gave Crockett those 3 points, interested on details myself

If you are able to stop Myers from shooting his high crotch to a lift, a good strong wrestler like Crockett can wrestle with him. Almost all of the Myers pins that I have seen came off of this lift to a half on the way down. My guess is he couldn't get Crockett up in the air to finish. Also watching Myer's Fargo matches, he does not appear to do well when people are punching underhooks on him. Maybe that was Crockett' strategy. These are both just speculation. Can anyone that saw the match give detail? And yes I think Crockett is that good.

Thumbs down

Their score last year was 7-2 7-3 ,and Crocket actually scored a TD the only one Austin gave up all year although Austin had a back injury ,this year 9-3 with three escapes kickouts whatever and Crocket tried a throw and ended up on his back with no back points and twice he had to dive out to avoid being taken down with Austin in on a shot ,He is no slouch I think he was on Ohios JR nat team ,No ones rankings really matter any jr high wrestler can rank people off of records and I think everyone knew it would be an entertaining match .Austin had three pins in under 30 seconds on the day I think most of Crockets matches went the distance im not sure .
Warrior 152 9-3 with all the offense on an Ohio District Champ ,Whats your point ?Crocket might lose to a Nye in a full match and Austin might pin a Nye in 30 sec or beat him in a full match ,Crocket is a different wrestler with a different set of skills strengths and weaknesses ,Crocket is one of the only wrestlers around who is strong enough not to get completely smoked right off the bat by Austin .
Im pretty sure they will wrestle again at Hammer or GMVA crocket took third there last yr ,And im sure Austin who has never lost in the regular season in over three years of High School wrestling will Wrestle to win ,even if its by 1 .
Heres the interesting Details BORO =If you were about to be the first four x undefeated wrestler in your weight class in the history of High School wrestling would you wrestle to win comfortably or open it up on someone who is actually strong enough to get a throw on you if they get lucky .
Warrior As for rankings Knapp is ranked 2nd I think in ohio and never makes it to Austin in any tournaments I think he got pinned by "Boze at Fargo who Austin beat twice on his way to Third and Knapp has never made it to Austin at nationals and never lasted a match when they wrestled Nino ranked higher than Crocket did not make it to him at nationals either ,None of the other 220s or Heavies in Ohio would do much better but who knows Austin goes to Mason now and then bring them down and we can watch .
Crocket is a good and talented kid and is much Stronger than Knapp Nino or probably any of the other upper weights in Ohio he would be a danger to any of them although he has weaknesses that open him up for losses . If he were at 195 he would be even tougher he lacks the height or reach to be super effective against 220s or Heavies.

I get that you are a honk for your son, as it should be. Would it kill you to mix in a little punctuation and try to follow the rules of grammar? This is painful to read. I am no English teacher, but wow.

Actually yes and no. Andrew Smith I heard only wghs 225 and wrestling 285lbs and killing it. He placed 3rd at the Franklin tournament, won dual plus placed 2nd in Olentangy Liberty HS tournament on 12-13-14.
I think Franklin has a strong 195 and up game.
