The top teams in the state playing at a High Major D1 arena.
Better games and much more overhead costs to host the event at a large arena.

Tickets prices should be expected in that range.

$6 ticket for your local game includes a few janitors sweeping up, pushing back the bleachers and turning the lights off after the game.

You aren't getting a game a the Schott for that same price.

The OHSAA has to charge more, when you have private schools bringing really small fan bases you have to charge more. At D3 regional game at Canton, Mogadore brought probably 2,000, Lutheran East maybe 150....there you go.

You pay $100 to watch TOSU roll Tulane in football and $20 bucks to park plus crazy concession prices and people bit@ch about $15 for 2 games. Wow. Then stay at home and don’t support high school sports. Sick of hearing this sh@it.

People on here are just cry babies who love to cry and complain about everything the OHSAA does. Its amusing but super annoying. 15 bucks for 2 state semifinal games Is more than fair. I agree with 1 time, if you dont like the price then dont go!

I paid 20+ per seat for the State Football Club seats.

Was well worth it! Pretty cheap if you ask me. $15 is not a lot for state BB championship games.

I'm not joining the O.P. in complaining about the state tournament prices. But FWIW my last local $7 ticket was for four district final games at UD Arena, so it can be done.

I don't think most fans care about the other game esp. if your team is in the 1st game and loses. Most fans of their team only want to watch their team, I am a Marion Local fan I could care less about anyone else and I think that is the way most fans feel esp. students. I don't know what the price is for students but for a family of 4 you are talking probably 50 bucks just to watch 2 games one that you have no interest in.

Keep feeding the mouths of overated big time college sports. I call it leagalized prostitution. Too bad some complain about the minimum amount it cost to see 2 high school games that involve kids and schools that really need your support. High sports is the only sports that is still somewhat innocent and pure. If you don’t want to go that’s one thing, but if it’s the price, shame on you !

$15 for two games and kicking lazy Aunt Martha out the car at the arena door before heading to free parking? Other than having to go to Columbus, what's the complaint?

What fraction of the crowd is fans of a participating team? Back when I was going regularly they were usually a minority--most of the crowd seemed to be people watching most or all of the tournament. But that was a long time ago.

If you don’t want to go fine. Cost is minimum. This should be a non topic. Best deal ever. 2 games for $15 ? Really? It’s the Ohio high school state championships. Amazed at the tight wads. Get a life !

The OHSAA is a business. 78% of the revenue they receive is through ticket sales.

OSU is trying to make every penny they can, to fund 30 some sports, where OHSAA should be trying to keep cost as low as possible for participating schools and their fans. Plus folks on here might like watching 2 games but most fans do not. Bball is not nearly as popular as it was 10 years ago just look at attendance, heck it is State Finals week and their is more posters on the football forum than the bball forum. Price should not be more than $10. 00 for a ticket period.

And that $10 price point is based on...... ? (something beside what you want)

The OHSAA has to fund 28 tournaments as well as all the other expenses and benefits they provide to the member schools.

I think I paid $ 12.00 for football Championship final, why should I pay more for bball ? Once again could care less about the other game.

Baseball was $8 last year (for all day) .... why not just charge $8 ?

Different tournaments
Different venues
Different expenses
